Re: Carlisle United Match Thread

Nolan has the feel of an Andy procter type player. Giving abit of height in midfield a valuable asset. Have to say was surprised how well Carlisle passed it (they have always been a overly physical team in the past). The difference between the teams was that Stanley going forward create lots more chances. If it's not kayden and Billy combining(which is working well) the likes of mcconville chip in (nowadays I am really pleased for mcconville when he has good days considering the mixed fan views he has drawn (admittedly some of them are from when he abandoned us for Stockport)) . Chapman is getting more decisive, better and not making me so nervous and the clean sheet will do wonders for him and this season's defence. As long as we get a fair rub of the green. I think we are at least play off contenders ( this is taking account of the usual rotten month we have during autumn!). A lot of people around the ground are getting that niggling feeling this could be are year as well!

Better team on the day won simple as.

But once again Stanley lost out on thousands of pounds because they did nothing to try to attract more down the M6

Watched Carlisle this season and they were decent in possession and going forward, but shakey at the back.
Thought there would be goals, but coming away with a clean sheet is as impressive as scoring three.
Acci always take time for the new players to settle in,not this season, they are flying and Hughes is in magnificent form,
Could be Accis year this !!!

I didn't see it as a jibe, more a back-handed compliment. He even said the pies were good!

He may have got it right the previous week, though, when referring to Mansfield's 'ugly sisters' management pair.

Yes but had accy done their job before yesterday and you could of had the 3k that went to Blackpool or the 2k who went to Morecambe last season.

From in income point of veiw does it matter i theyre home or away fans ?

Away fans are a short easy fix getting home fans in is more of a long term project. But no reason why both aims cant be carried out at the same time

plenty of stanley fans will go to an away game at morecambe and blackpool but wouldn,t go to say a league match at bradford or crewe that are a similar distance to go. exeter or southend away which would you choose if you lived up here.

:D Accrington Stanley 3 Carlisle United 0: The pantomime horse kicked like a mule. Carlisle had all the menace of Snow White. At the end, they were booed off stage by fans who had spent quite the most miserable afternoon in the soaking Lancashire rain. :D NewsNow: Loading story...

Did you notice that the article ended with 'After the longest post-match inquest of his reign, Curle finally appeared to discuss the farce. Oh yes he did.'

Just watched three 'Post Match' interviews with Keith Curle, the Carlisle Captain Danny Grainger and Luke Joyce.:dummy2::dummy2::dummy2:
All three were feeling very sorry for themselves and reckon that they just played badly!
:pmad::punsure::pph34r:
Not one of the three gave any credit at all to Accrington Stanley in their comments, which showed a lack of grace IMHO.
Carlisle were just outplayed by a much better team and I feel that they could have acknowledged that fact!:whack::oke2::whack:

ON STANLEY ON
