Andy in the sun
Superb article from the boss, even if it is in the sun:

Nicely said Mr Holt.

The man's a football genius!
Well said, Mr.Holt. |
Re: Andy in the Sun
Some very sensible thoughts there. It will be interesting to see others' reactions.
I wish you'd capitalised 'Sun', though; I thought Andy was on his hols! |
Re: Andy in the sun
The guy knows the score and is a credit to the club imho.

Re: Andy in the sun
Don't agree with paying ref's same as players, quite a lot of them are already to far up their own backside's as it is.

Re: Andy in the sun
A true manifesto of wisdom.
We may be the smallest club in the four leagues, but we've got the best chairman bar none! Stand by for the backlash from the PL Mafia following Commandment no.10 |
Re: Andy in the sun
the main one i like his the idea to abolish parachute payments. a promoted div.1 side start out with a big disadvantage on a relagated premier league side. this cannot be right for any reason apart from creating yo yo clubs in and out of the greedy league.

Re: Andy in the sun
The current academy system is ruining football, we haven't won an u17 or u20 word cup for a number of weeks. If they were all a league 2 clubs we wouldn't qualify.
The tops clubs always get the best youngsters and 99% never make it, but a good few drop down to league two and benefit from it. All Stanley's player have benefited from being at bigger clubs with better resources. I doubt Stanley loan out players at zero cost, why would any other club? The majority of clubs in the Premier League make far more loses than Stanley. Venting to the SCUM newspaper show his football sensibilities. He should have known how things worked before buying the club. |
Re: Andy in the sun
Very good article but I don't understand his beef with referees.
I don't think I've seen one controversial decision all season. They always will make some mistakes but I think generally the attitude of officials is generally pretty good. They are far, far better than 20-30 years ago. |
Re: Andy in the sun
Have to disagree LordD, i think the standard has dropped big time.
