Wilks dropped.
Fair enough, he was poor v Carlisle but I fear we are back to our rather pedestrian formation as a result.

Come on ye Reds.

It's not a must win game there's along way to go.
Transfer window can't come quick enough - let's see if Coley weaves some magic.
Looks like he's made his mind up about loanees if the bench is anything to go by.

Sounds like great chances for Kee, Mcconville and Richards Everton but none converted.... need to get some of the early season confidence in front of goal back

Maybe not 'must win' but I'd say definitely a 'must not lose' - got everything crossed

Great result, especially after those first half near-misses. Well done to the lads and management, just what the doctor ordered.

Just back. Amazing what a boost in confidence can do. First goal and never looked back. On to the next one ........
Maybe a few saw Coley's shopping list ........

Superb result good to see Kayden back scoring if he and Billy start a run of scoring now will push us back into the top 3 that's for sure.

That will be ok if they get some time on the pitch and not left on the bench.

Re: Grimsby "Must Win" Thread.

I'm not really arsed how it's done. I'm happy to see a settled team, performing well, with a bench full of good players keen to get in, but not quite able.

Great headed goal for the second from McMarmite and a really good finish for Jacko's third.

Re: Grimsby "Must Win" Thread.

Friday result for Morecambe was massive for them. If we hadn't have won yesterday then would be much more worried about tomorrows game. Can't wait for it now!

Did anyone hear Jimmy's interview? Was talking about how coaching staff had simplified things for the players - good idea when things are going badly.

Jackson goal gets better with repeat viewing - to finish from that angle is impressive.

Re: Grimsby "Must Win" Thread.

Agreed but if he'd missed everybody would have been screaming why he didn't play a square pass to Clark.
Fine margins

Tom D 31-12-2017 14:24

Re: Grimsby "Must Win" Thread.

Fine margins are what separates a poor striker from a good striker. I would give both of our strikers free licence to shoot whenever they want and not worry about what if's - especially when you have been struggling for goals recently like Kayden. Coleman always talks about confidence in his interviews and telling his players they will score if they keep trying, only start to worry if the chances dry up.

Let's hope he continues to perform on the 'good' side.
