Re: Transfer rumours
Been seen on one of these fake twitter account thingamabobs apparently, there's no way Billy's going to Brizzle - he didn't think much of it down south when he played for Torquay

Bizarre statement - as often. What is the basis for this comment? |

Re: Transfer rumours
Anyone know for sure if Edwards is here till end of season? Website report on Coley's press conference suggests he is but this forum suggests otherwise.
|
Re: Transfer rumours
Edwards has gone back to Hull, Aswell as Wilks going back to Leeds.
Leaves a few spaces for some fresh strikers... |
Re: Transfer rumours
RE Edwards returning to Hull. Is this really true? Still havne't had it confirmed by the club and he was on a year long loan.
Loan players return ? Accrington Stanley No mention of him in this article - the only place I've heard he has gone back is a couple of people on this forum. Defence really thin on the ground now!!! |
Re: Transfer rumours
We've signed Callum Johnson from Middlesbrough on a permanent deal, welcome aboard kid :)
|
Re: Transfer rumours
Edwards musta gone back, been no injury report not played or on bench for weeks, club will probably tell us officially next week. :D
|
Re: Transfer rumours
This seems to suggest otherwise - Dunne to wear No 2 ? Accrington Stanley
Why would we give a player a number who has left?? :D |
Re: Transfer rumours
Jonny Edwards is still here according to the revised list of squad nos.on the fishy site now, Dunne will be wearing no. 2 & Callum is keeping the no. 26

So what are you disputing ? When he left Accy ?
|
Re: Transfer rumours
Loan players Tyler Forbes, Tom Dallison, Farrend Rawson, Jordan Thorniley and Mallik Wilks have returned to their parent clubs.
|
Re: Transfer rumours
I feel for Thornily. I know the kid wanted to stay but the parent club got their way which meant he could only return permanently. However the Owls offered him a new contract at the same time .........

Re: Transfer rumours
Can't say I'm all that bothered by the loanees going back - apart from maybe Wilks.
Not all that enthused by Johnson signing. Doesn't look that special, but if Coleman sees something in him that's good enough for me. One decent midfielder would do me. |
Re: Transfer rumours
Meself i rated thornilley the best of em, wasn't thinking wilks had enough steak puds in him, too easy knocked off the ball at this stage of his career,

Re: Transfer rumours
I haven't heard anything but it wouldn't surprise me if Dean Winnard found his way back.
|
Re: Transfer rumours
Ha ha heard it all now!!
Deans had a bad Achilles injury for four months, gutted he’s not playing. Tried training/playing,but total rest is the only answer. Morecambe have been good to him, especially the manager and Dean even offered to cut short his contract to save them money !! He’s even paid for specialist opinions, but rest seems to be the recurring answer. Time will tell, but I think he’s learned from his early days at Acci, were the squad size forced him into playing numerous games whilst injured. |

Not all that enthused by Johnson signing. Doesn't look that special, but if Coleman sees something in him that's good enough for me as long as coley finds a position for him and keeps him there and not move him about he might be o.k. had a first half nightmare against crawley the other week but i suppose he was not on his own. |
Re: Transfer rumours
What is his best position ? Idon't think he's a defender (your right about Crawley Monkey). If its midfield where is he in the pecking order ? Conneely Brown Nolan ... then Johnson ?

Re: Transfer rumours
Now I know you don't rate Clark.
What about McConville ? Do you rate anyone at the club in that department ? |

Re: Transfer rumours
The way Sean Mc is playing and the consistent quality goals we will be lucky to keep hold of the lad.
Callum Johnson a great signing and a perfect fit at right back his trade position. |
Re: Transfer rumours
The issue for me and has been a while is left back. That's not a criticism of Donacien but if we could find a natural left footed left back it will be far better balanced.

Re: Transfer rumours
Although we are short in numbers squad wise the players we bring in have got to be as good as the ones we have or preferably better if we are an ambitious club which I think Andy Holt as brought us to be we need to improve an already good squad and build towards promotion, personally think we need a left footed defender a quality ball playing midfielder and the hardest one a striker to keep Billy and Kayden on their toes.
