Just heard that seeding has been removed from 1st and 2nd rounds of League Cup. Also that drawn matches will go straight to penalties after 90 minutes with no extra time.

Still regionalised for rounds 1 and 2.

Draw sometime on Friday 15 of June.

Round 2 won't be a regional draw will it? They only did it last season as a trail and scrapped it.

They scrapped 2 legs in 1st and 2nd round about 16 years ago, they were a good money spinner for the smaller teams. The semi final should be a neutral ground as it clashes wit FA cup replays and makes it almost impossible in Jan.

The seeding removed will mean stanley have more chance of progressing but less chance of income. The penalties at 90 should help, at is not like stanley haven't played in plenty of comps like that before.

might actually be better if they drew round 2 at the same time. would be more interesting if say that if we win we may draw a local side at home in the next round. same for mansfield. cannot see many bothering especially at 20 quid.

I won't be going, last time I went to Mansfield they only played for 45 minutes :)
