Back in the Wrexham days.
Got ribbed throughout his time at Barnsley.
On the subject of which ....... they might want him back.
All depends on Kieffer Moore situation.

If he goes we can't let him go cheap Cashy, Barnsley have a reported 25% sell on clause for Kayden so the fee would have to reflect that, even if they paid a million we'd only get 750,000

Twenty Eight 02-07-2018 17:36

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

Barnsley have turned down 7 figure offers for Moore - all from championship clubs and now there’s a queue forming for Bradshaw.
If they keep them both they’re my tip to win League One.
If they don’t they will invest.
Jackson is on the radar.

Have to disagree yeh they are two damn good players, but we have a strong squad still and J.C.s track record at bringing players in and on aint bad at all.Do yeh suggest turning great money down?

turn the money down plus two unhappy players at the club who have been kept back from improving themselves. sorry to see any good player go but remember if they do well ipswich will sell em also if someone higher comes up with an offer. all clubs are selling clubs outside the greedy league.

Chrisr 01-08-2018 18:54

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

No I don't suggest turning decent money down. Quality players like them are rare. I know Coley has brought some good players here and yes we have a good squad. Unless you know you are going to be able to replace like with like or better then we are weakening a strong team. Donacien was the most under appreciated player we had.

cashman 01-08-2018 19:23

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

No one, not even the manager knows if he can replace like with like, thats rather obvious to smaller clubs, all that can be said is they do there best with very small resources, a stanley fan has to accept that, its called the way things are. we have lost good players before some yeh win some yeh lose. after losing Shay last time, many thought we would struggle, that was summat i never noticed did you? in fact i never thought we were weaker.

Yes Chrisr. I agree with you about The Don. I always rated Janoi very highly as indicated in many of my post match comments over the last two seasons have shown and in my comment yesterday. I remember well that he made his debut in the superb 3-2 victory against, favourites for the title, Doncaster Rovers in our first match of the 2016/2017 on Saturday 6th August 2016. Janoi had only signed for Stanley the day before and very late in the afternoon and hadn't even trained with the squad! He was thrown in at LEFT back and had a pretty torrid time. I can still see and hear Mark Hughes trying to 'Captain' Janoi and keep him in position. He played quite a lot of that season in both full back positions sharing the jobs with Matty Pearson who sometimes played at centre back. :mosher:
For me Janoi was always better at Right Back but last season he played mainly on the Left where he still did a great job.
Let's hope that at Ipswich he realizes fully his true potential and that they sell him on to one of the top Premier outfits for MILLIONS......then we can get an even better pay out.

Good Luck to Janoi........

but it is stilll.....
ON STANLEY ON:theband:
The story continues....

[QUOTE=cashman;1215560]Was told Kayden had handed in a transfer request today,QUOTE]

I heard the same, That would be a bad loss for us. I know we didn't miss shay McCarten much when he left. Jackson is in a different league. He didn't get much service today and our midfield looked out of sorts somehow. I think this was a serious wake up call for Stanley today. Coley made a substitution with more than two minutes left to play. We were not too bad today but the jury is still out on sykes for me. I think he will come good but he is not the finished product yet. We will have to up our game all round.

I thought that Kayden did well today. He was totally positive and worked his socks off as he always does.
If he has to leave Stanley then good luck to him and I hope that we get a proper fee for him.

Peterborough Ipswich or QPR.

Oh, but if 28 says it surely it must be - after all he said Kayden would be gone before last Saturday & oh, wait a minute that didn't happen . . . . . . . But he also said that if he was still here on Saturday he wouldn't play against Gillingham, oh no - wait a minute . . . . . . . . . . .
Yeah, on second thoughts I'll wait for an official announcement

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

The official line on social media and everywhere else you want to read it is that Andy won’t step in his way and he’s free to leave in this transfer window provided the price is agreed.
According to QPR and Ipswich they’ve hit that fugure so it’s all down to Jackson picking where he wants to be and agreeing personal terms.
Maybe he will ..... maybe he won’t.
For the record I hope he stays but I just can’t see it.
I stand by what I said about him playing Saturday.
He looked a shadow of what he’s capable of and the stress of what he’s going through must have been immense.
Everyone can have an opinion - unless you’re cant which often happens around here.

Ipswich say £1.6m.
The hype I referred to was the £2.5 mill.

I can think of a few signings at £200k we could make !!
Or put another way £4k per week to spend on wages.

1.6m with a significant sell on clause or 2m straight? I'll take the 1.6m please.

Happy days indeed, this money will move Stanley onwards 3 levels off the pitch

Less the 30% for Barnsley of course.

Great piece of business,
I think losing Billy would have been a lot more damaging.
For me we need at least two more strikers,a centre mid and another 1/2 CBS
You need quality cover in all positions in this division.
Adam Rooney is on 4K a week in conference,so it won’t be easy.

Sell on fees only apply to the difference normally, so we don't know what it is 30% or 25% of yet, and we will be kept in the dark on what he sells for just like what we paid.

Twenty Eight 08-08-2018 21:23

They paid a “nominal fee” according to Barnsley.
They’ve had a great week so far collecting sell ons for Mawson and Jackson.
Already investing that money wisely.
They’re signing talented youth.

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

If the deal is completed today it will be a massive club record. Andy has known for a while how much Kayden was worth. I suspect the fee will be in excess of £2 Million with sell on clauses. Kayden will play in the premier league in the next 2/3 years.

I wish that was the case but Ipswich are not being as guarded as us.

maccawozzagod 09-08-2018 11:02

Re: Kayden Jackson in the dock

Ipswich website states the Janoi Donacien fee as 750k (a club record), followed by £1.6m for Jackson (a new club record). The Jackson fee is confirmed as having top-ups (appearances/goals/promotion/internationals?) that could take the fee to £2m.

Good luck to the pair of them and future Stanley stars will benefit from the new changing rooms and training ground that now can be paid for immediately.

Good summary Macca!:mosher:
The club can look to the future with much better financial security and with the prospect of further improvement in the facilities.
Great credit to Andy Holt for his business acumen and to Coley and Jimmy for bringing these lads on from obscurity.
Looking forward to the next stars that they unearth in the coming season.

You don't get a sell on clause as well as top whack for a player.

I do not expect one in this case.

3 weeks to get a decent replacement, by hook or by crook.
