Barnsley and Sunderland Home Ticket up date

:) I would suggest any home fans wanting to go to either or both the home games against Barnsley and Sunderland to get their tickets sorted sooner rather than leave to the last minute Barnsley ticket info ? Accrington Stanley Sunderland to get around HALF of Accrington’s ground for upcoming league game! NewsNow: Loading story...

this might upset a few but i think the club should seriously be looking at not selling tickets on the day of the match when we play sunderland if they sell out their allocation. good chance of a number coming down without tickets and getting in with home fans. could really kick off if this happens.

Does anybody know when the Sunderland tickets are going on sale please?

It was on fishy site a few days ago that if you have a loyalty card you can buy your Sunderland ticket this week & then they'll go on open sale on Monday 5th November

Sunderland have been given home advantage with 2,600 tickets, plus whoever comes in the Stanley end.

They have already sold out too 5/6 weeks ahead.

Bound to sell out the home end now...

did you have to give your postcode. never had a problem with stanley but not having a local postcode to some other club has given me problems too. i imagine there will be barnsley and sunderland fans living around lancashire who will have similar trouble with their clubs.

Standing room only for the Sunderland game, all tickets for the seated areas now sold out! And still a month to go - wow, this league one lark is a whole new world :)

I must admit, I was under the impression that Stanley supporters would get 2 blocks in the Eric Whalley stand, however, I was informed by a rather nice lady in the office that they were all being given to Sunderland supporters. No problems except that, there will be disabled Sunderland fans in block A of the main stand mixing with Stanley supporters. I could say, I'm alright Jack as i have my tickets for the match, just seems a bit more than half the stadium will be Sunderland supporters for what could conceivably be the biggest game for Stanley since reforming.

Don't worry, the Clayton End will still out shout them!!

Still standing tickets left, or at least there were when I went into the office to get one for my grandson tonight. Come and stand on the Clayton End for a change!

we have got our tickets and now thinking how early to get to the ground to park as it seems to be getting harder and harder every week. thinking about getting there at some silly late morning time and walk into town for something to eat and kill the time.

We are working on parking plans for both Barnsley and Sunderland;

However when we've provided "solutions" in the past, Burnley game + others there has been a very poor take up

Kitch,
I'm not a season ticket holder. I'm not a member. I live 70 miles away. I couldn't get one over the phone. I didn't leave it late. Will that do ?

Twenty Eight. Live and learn........... sounds like the solutions in your own hands. Failing that, Ask one of the regular posters on Accyweb to help?

Mr T, maybe the "solutions" weren't any good. If they were they would have been taken up?

All we trying local solutions such as Accy Academy and hopefully one more

I thought you had connections to two Stanley players? Couldn't you get your tickets that way?

Twenty Eight 08-11-2018 16:02

The players are limited to two each. I wouldn't dream of asking them anyway. Sooner put twenty quid in the club's coffers.

You misunderstand me. I wasn't suggesting for one moment that you ask them for complimentary tickets. Simply that as the club is their place of employment, you could give 'em the dosh, and they could nip into the office and buy you a ticket for any particular match. I don't think Sunderland's quite sold out yet, so there's still a chance to come and stand with us in the Clayton End!

Twenty Eight 08-11-2018 19:25

Re: Barnsley and Sunderland Home Ticket up date

Give em the dosh ? Which part of living 70 miles away haven’t you grasped !
Under no circumstances would I ever mess the lads about over getting a ticket. Just not my style.
I suspect I’ll be there .... standing rather than seated.

Sorry, 28, my post was meant to be 'tongue in cheek' !! Should learn how to use 'emojis' or whatever they are called!!

Well, I'm sure one of them could just nip into the office and get you a ticket and you could give them the brass when you got there. Sorry for trying to make a helpful suggestion.

This is true - however it is hard to get tickets from Stanley sometimes. The season ticket fiasco with DB too busy to sell them in the run up to the deadline was silly, and opening times of 10-4pm don't suit most people.

The FA Cup tickets are only available 10-4pm too according to the OS - nothing about on the day though. They should have sold them after the Pompey game if they wanted a big crowd.

Quite agree about opening times should have a couple of evening slots buying over the phone is no good nobody ever answers won't be a big crowd Saturday so will be buying mine on the day even though I'm a season ticket holder service could be improved not a moan more a suggestion.

its obviously not going to be anywhere near a sell out on saturday and anything above 2500 would be a really excellent gate, if you are not bothered about not sitting in your regular seat then whats the big problem on paying on the day. get their early to avoid any queues and find a possible parking place for the barnsley/sunderland games whilst you are at it.

not if you are from the travelling community. plenty of tarmac can be used in a few weeks.

i dread to think what’s its going to be like when we play Juve in the European Cup in a few years time.
We will probably be causing meltdown at Ticketmaster like the Spice Girls did this morning and then sobbing our hearts out on social media.

I reckon if you are desperate enough you could blag your way into the Wham or even climb over the fence into the fanzone. Come on Twnty Eight. Don’t give up.

1,267 - pretty poor and not helped by the clubs promotion of/ and ticket availability. According to the OS they were only on sale until 4pm on Friday, but the site promotes the Marquee and the band that didn't happen as no one turned up.

AccyMad 11-11-2018 10:52

Re: Barnsley and Sunderland Home Ticket up date

It was a disappointing gate but didn't expect many to make the trip from Colchester, as for tickets - I bought mine when I got to the ground around 2 o'clock & there was a band playing in the marquee then. There was also a band in the clubhouse after the game, it was quite busy too (think winner's hour helps with that :))

cashman 11-11-2018 12:27

Re: Barnsley and Sunderland Home Ticket up date

The lowest gate of the day, given our performance this season i thought it was DISGRACEFUL, ok not many from Colchester but still only just oer 1000 from us is terrible. when yeh take into account we sold just oer 1000 season tickets.:(

Many season ticket holders do not do cup games..... No idea why that is??

Cannot complain about the price really - I don't think....

1,166 (219 Guiseley)

1,717 (482 Luton)

Last 2 F.A. Cup games I can find at home, neither were big gates....

Not sure why??

:) :)

Beats the crap outa me Joe, The F.A.Cup for me is the greatest Cup comp there is. and its not as we have been playing badly.

Re: Barnsley and Sunderland Home Ticket up date

Not the most appealing draw, plus the match day walk up's have chosen to use their hard earned cash to buy Sunderland and Barnsley tickets.

There are also good number of season tickets who don't come to every league games.

One famous guy has been that busy he's yet to visit the Wham this year!!
At least he's bought his ST to assist the club.

cashman 11-11-2018 20:50

Whilst i accept that, surely its a minority of Season ticketers that dont come to cup matches?:confused:i always buy a S.T. and i always miss one or two games due to being away,

agree cashy. i used to come to all cup games before i got my season ticket. decided not to participate in the chechatrade due to its format. as for the fa cup i do not think its got the glamour that it used to have. rounds 1 and 2 should be regionalised as i,m sure their would have been a better gate if we had played a northern club.

A up Accy fans Barnsley fan here, firstly want to say well done on your start to life in league 1, outstanding, secondly have you anything planned for sat to remember the little lad Charlie who lost his fight to that vile disease, I am sure we will join you in any way we can, this is a fixture which the majority of our fans have been looking forward too, also with the connection of the Accy pals and Barnsley pals, may the best team win, btw as the away end behind the goal been rebuilt or a roof put up ? TIA
