Accrington Stanley V Portsmouth FC 2018/19 Prediction League; Game 13 v Portsmouth (home) That's "Game 13" as in "Game 16" ………….. teach me to try and cut corners by copying and changing - it's ok until you forgot to change, and then you look stupid! Game 16 ……………… Not Game 13 :o:o:o:o:o |
Re: 2018/19 Prediction League; Game 16 v Portsmouth (home)

Suddenly There's Clear Red Water For Blue Blood
Faced with a game against the leaders, the faithful mostly held their nerve :), with only 7 people scaling the fence :( and only one of those failing to (monkey ;)) hang on there, dropping down on the other side . Which left just 6 people to take big points :) and big strides up the table :), while most of us had to be content with a single point. The most significant maxi went to our leader Lord Stiffupperlip, who took advantage of none of his 6 closest rivals getting more than one to stretch his lead to 7  points. Then there was Kiwi John, who overtook the same 6 to climb into second place, level on points with Cashman but pushing him down to third on countback. Further down the table, maxis meant movement :) for Revived Red (15= to 12th), Ossy Kid (18th to 14th) and Accytom18 (24th to 17=). And 3 points were enough to lift AccyMad back into the elite, up from 11th to 9= at the expense of Football19. The difference between 1 point and none caused a bit of shuffling elsewhere, but nothing to shout about really. So after two games without a win  we roll on to Coventry, with Barnsley to follow as this little run of tough games goes on. 4 points from the last 3 - 2 or 3 more from the next 2 enough, maybe? Well maybe, but 4 would be much :D nicer, wouldn't they? On Stanley On!! |
