really cannot make my mind up about this game. i really hate this competition since they allowed these glorified premier league youth teams in but fancy seeing a really competitive game against lincoln next tuesday. do i stick to my principles or go to the match. any help out there to persuade me one way or another would be of great help.

Well look at this way, Lincoln won this cup last year, so no reason we cant this?i also dislike for same reasons as you, but Andy Holt says its worth it to the club is why we have started going to em.

I'm gonna play devils advocate I'm afraid MH, I'll be sticking to my principles & not going to the Lincoln game or any others in the competition should we progress. Wouldn't decry anyone who does want to go though, it's everyone's personal choice

might be a wait and see job and let the weather decide. going over the top in the rain against some of the blinding headlights which must be close if not illegal will make my mind up for me.

Good job the lads in the trenches didn't use the rain and few torches as an excuse not to go over the top.

its not the rain that bothers me its night driving in the rain that does. spent most of my working life as a bus driver doing late shifts but no one drove with blinding white headlights in those days which in the rain seem to make em worse. headlights on cars could be start of another thread as i,m not the only one who,s sick to death of some of the clowns who have these fitted.

If these prices are true, why is the concession 64+ (which I am) but 65+ for a normal everyday match/season ticket (which I am not).

Don't forget the Knobheads who park on the wrong side of the road with headlights on.

It's only a fiver (assuming you qualify for a concession), you're going to see decent opposition and, if Stanley play like they did in the second half today, we've a decent chance of winning. As Cashy says, us Stanley Old Boys boycotted it in the past because of these youth teams, but Andy says this is a worthwhile competition for the club and he should know. This competition isn't going away, so we may as well get maximum financial benefit and maximum enjoyment from it. And just supposing we go all the way to the final...are Stanleyites really going to pass up on their best chance ever to see their team at Wembley, because of some "principle" that even Andy, that most principled of men, doesn't believe in?
