Not much of a crowd there. It looks like we might get a few of their second string playing in the second half.

Shouldn’t read much into a pre-season friendly,but enjoyable game it was !!!
They were quality opponents and for large periods we didn’t have the ball.
What we did do was work hard and kept our shape, then took our chances when they came.
Good to watch how quality players find space when there isn’t any!!!

Number 18 was our very own 'Sunbeds' Phil Edwards, listed as a 'triallist' and on the bench at the start of the game, but came on midway through the 2nd half, Mr Reliable at right back.

Not the best of publicity,

Ground staff took a picture of the changing rooms after accy had left, bottles and tape everywhere. Andy had a word with staff and players, to look after the dressing rooms better. Players available to clean up after Salford devils game.

Not sure what’s worse. Stanley players leaving that mess or more fake news from the BBC whose journalistic integrity nowadays seems to extend to reporting anything on social media without checking a few facts with interested parties.
If people are being paid to clean up after players then maybe that’s how all changing rooms, outside of Japan, are left.
Perhaps, if Stanley players have to go to tidy up after Salford RFL, they can take a photo of what they find so we can judge whether the changing room is any cleaner than how Stanley left it.

Interesting. Wilson Carvalho was on Port Vale's books when Jimmy was there.

There's a video of him here (no 11) being brought down in the box twice, then scoring the penalty (start at 5:05): https://www.stratfordtownfc.co.uk/vi...wn-145699.html

And, yes, if anybody's wondering, Stratford Town's match reports all end with a Shakespeare quotation!

An Accrington Stanley XI beat Shelley FC 1-0 today.
Mixture of fringe players and youth, although 8 of the starting 11 have had involvement with first team.
Savin, Perritt, Rodgers, Ogle, Sousa, Watson, Simmonds & Scott.
Okera Simmonds scored the only goal of game from the spot after Sousa was fouled.
Thought Perritt, Ogle & Scott in particular had very good games.

Anyone any idea who the numerous triallists were at Bala today and how they did? Clearly none excelled in the central striker roll where I reckon we need to make another signing.

9 trialists in all, only 3 looked half decent. Tall centre half, centre midfielder and a striker.
No one of real interest, all looked younger, likely to be playing for U23s next season.

Looking at kipax,s photos looks like Phil Edwards played again wondering if it's a fitness exercise or whether Coley fancies a bit of experience can play in midfield too.

Decent run out V PNE tonight, very hot indeed .

Really like the look of the new Left Back, looks very solid.

Happy for Colby to score, always good to get the first one in, despite it being a friendly.

Good game for a friendly Joe Maguire looks a good signing took a while to click upfront but Bishop did what he has been brought in for scored I think the trialist that came on was Jeff King looked quite useful could be the eighth signing enjoyed the evening.

Only thing that worries me is up front with no sign of Billy coming back anytime soon, plus Zanzala out with a hamstring for 6 weeks.

Definitely an area that needs addressing.
