Saturday afternoon....Perfect weather...big club opponents....
Only 2000 odd home fans bother turning up!
'Oh Accrington...is wonderful' - NOT! :o

700+ more and home sections would have been full better than years gone by.

think there will be more next saturday especially if there is a good performance tomorrow night. i imagine most feared the worst anyway on saturday and with it being their 4th visit in less than a year i can see why the interest in a sunderland game has wained somewhat.

Not sure your thoughts are so reassuring, or contradict Lord Stiffers’ post.

It sounds like you’re suggesting that (a) some ‘fans’ stay away if they expect a defeat, and (b) some fans are already bored with watching Stanley play Sunderland (SUNDERLAND!!!).

Good job the Sunderland fans who made the 238 mile round trip didn't adopt the same attitude - 'Oh no pet! Not b****y Accrington again! Can't be bothered'.
Sorry, but this is probably the biggest fixture in our league calendar.
If you can't be bothered attending for the reasons mentioned above, you're no football fan.
