Pragmatic Leaders Falter As Keeping The Faith Pays Off Fourfold
Well that was a much better result than Thursday night's …..:( There was a lot of cock-eyed optimism around this week , but in the main our leaders kept their heads, and did not back the Reds to end Pompey's unbeaten run …. and if you can keep your heads when all around you are losing theirs, and blaming it on you …. what happens? You lose ground on the cock-eyed optimists, that's what :D. So …. nothing :( for leader Monkey Hanger, Accybeme, StanleyJosh or Stevie R, just the one point :o for Outback Ozzy, Nige B and Ossy Kid. Leaving the way open for Valairian to knock Nige B off the bottom step of the podium :), Revived Red to close in on the Top 5 :), and AccyMad to soar from 10th to 7th :), all with 4 points. Though as those on the fringe of the elite were also all amongst the non-scoring pragmatists ;), nobody was evicted from the top table last week. Half a dozen more of us also took 4 points :), all picking up our bonuses for "Pompey 1", while 5 were content with just the 3. So not a lot more movement, though a few non-players  dropped back in the betting, as you do. So roll on Donny, who lost after leading at the real Dons today :). Teams below and around us mostly playing one another, so points would be nice. Could we just be on a roll, or maybe a Yule log? Let's keep on keeping on (and scoring goals if that's at all possible :D). On Stanley On!! |
