Better Late Than Never, Part Three - No Jokes This Week

No jokes as I have to acknowledge the passing of one of our regular players, Proccy Fan (Alan), as reported in another thread by his nephew, Long Lost Son. Alan participated in the league in every season that Div3North and I have been running things, with an overall record of P334 (out of a possible 449 over the 10 seasons), W35, D91, L208, BP151, Pts 599. One of the many amongst us who find it hard to forecast a Stanley defeat, he never challenged for the podium, with his best finish eighth in 2015/16, which was also the season when he managed a 100% entry record.

A brief summary of the Tranmere game, when all (most) hopes were confounded, 25 out of 26 of us thinking we would win, and virtually guarantee survival: if you thought Tranmere would score 2 goals while losing (step forward Accymad, MonkeyHanger and StanleyJosh, you got a point. If you thought we'd lose 1-0 (bow head, Accybeme) you got 3 points and moved up to second place, 7 points behind MH. StanleyJosh also gained a place, up from 12th to 11th.

So, roll on …. who knows what? Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

RIP Proccy Fan, and condolences from us all to Long Lost Son.
