I’ve just registered and paid for tonight’s match but cannot figure out how to watch. When I click on watch now it just takes me to a page asking me to subscribe.

Update:
It now appears, despite following the instructions to subscribe to the Leeds U23 match, and paying for it, I have no access to view it but do have access to view the Peterborough game on Saturday. Which I doubt I can use. If this is the wonderful world of iFollow, the club can shove it.

You and me too.
Having spent a very frustrating half an hour it now appears I have a pass for Peterborough’s game, but can’t change it to tonight’s match.
When I subscribed for the Leeds game I did notice it had the kick-off as 18:00!
Is it because, according to that, I was trying to subscribe after the game was supposed to start?
Anyway, whatever, I am totally unconvinced by iFollow and will not be bothering with it again. Life’s got enough stupid frustrations without adding to them.

To be fair they say you have to beat what is put in front of you but for Leeds to send a team of youth players devalues the competition to me, but on the plus side we have scored 5 in one half so will give confidence going into a difficult game Saturday.

It was the EFL who devalued the competition when they included these under 21 teams in it in the first place but agree that Leeds sending a team of 16 & 17 year olds is extracting the Michael

Like the look of Sangare as well played some lovely through balls tonight seen all the new signings get minutes, quite a few of the lads out injured apparently Bishop back training which is good because that's an area we look a bit thin on the ground, time for the real thing Saturday.

Re: Game against Leeds u-23,s.

Out of the 14 lads who got game time yesterday, 8 could still play U23s football.
I don’t mind having the academy teams in the competition for various reasons (good test for them, us, potential loan targets etc) however agree that Leeds fielding an 18s team isn’t the best circumstance.

One of the fortunate ones to have been last night; shape looked more fluid tonight with players interchanging and covering each other. Burgess looks a really good signing, not afraid to get forward, solid in the tackle and vocal. Cassidy and Charles has some good link up play, Uwakwe oozed skill and composure. Think we missed Conneely Saturday just to act as an outlet instead of playing long balls, and it was clear last night that having a holding midfielder in the side will be a huge benefit.
Some really good competition for places now in the squad with Finley,McConville, Pritchard and Bishop among others to still become available.

I like the look of this system as I have said before last season we were wide open to the counter attack as we constantly played down the flanks, one important position in this system is the attacking midfielder behind a mobile front two I thought Sangare fit it well last night but we have options there as well, Saturday big test for our young side against Posh.

don,t blame leeds, blame the system for it being allowed. think the majority of league 1 and 2 fans were against it from the outset and i cannot imagine even leeds fans getting too upset about last nights result apart from a few.

Totally agree, they should never have messed with the structure of the competition but once they did they should have made sure that rules were adhered to by all involved.

Josh - I don't think a 16 year old centre forward (who looked 14) was ever going to trouble the back three do you ? Utter waste of time. Why enter the competition when clearly they weren't going to take it seriously ?

It totally wrecks the integrity of the competition but as far as the youngsters from Leeds are concerned apart from getting a thumping they will have loved that experience I know I would have far better for them than an age group game or any training routine. Not much good for us except for stretching the legs and the confidence booster of scoring goals will have done Cassidy and Uwakawe no harm at all.

[QUOTE=Twenty Eight; Why enter the competition when clearly they weren't going to take it seriously ?[/QUOTE]

thats back to my old arguement that you should apply to enter a knock out competition in the first place and not be automatically entered. if a club is willing to lose sponsorship money by not entering then so be it.

I wonder what the Leeds supporters think of their young lads being sent to a game without a single player with real league experience I doubt it gives them confidence in their academy being able to attract keen able youngsters to the club in the future.

Stanley may have eased off 2nd half a bit however put 7 past Bolton so it wasn't that much of a humiliation.

Most of these lads may never play against a professional team if it wasn't for this competition, so will have something to look back fondly when they are playing in the Northern Counties East or West Yorks AFL and working in an office.

Correct.
The parents were seething because the intention in this tournament by Leeds was allegedly to blend youth with more experienced players plus use the over age rule instead of which we can see what happened.

Apparently the under 23,s were in a training game against the seniors as there doesn't seem to be any set rules about ages in this competition Stanley benefited in the goals against column and picked up £10000 for the privalige.

Barrow and Leeds drew 2-2 tonight, with Barrow picking up a second point by winning the penalty shoot-out. The result means that a win against Blackpool will see Stanley topping group G.

Sorry, the table's wrong on the BBC site. We'd still go through if we beat Blackpool but not necessarily by topping the group, although Barrow would have to beat us by at least 8 goals to then overtake us.

If Barrow beat us I'd be mortified but if it was by 8 goals I think I'd go into permanent hibernation - just wouldn't cope:eek:

If we beat blackpool by 1 or 2 goals then Barrow need to beat us by a 5 goal margin to overtake us.

Only if we won by 7 or 8 tonight would Barrow would need to win by 8 plus.

I'm struggling to understand that. Currently, our goal difference is 7 and Barrow's is nil. If we were to beat Blackpool then ours would be 8+. Surely, Barrow would then have to beat us by at least 8 goals to better our goal difference. But, first, let's beat Blackpool!

If we are playing Barrow, every goal they score against us is worth 2 ;)
