Ossy Kid maxes out as leaders stumble

Well, nearly right, Taypot went for a draw :D

But everybody else (who managed to enter :o) took at least 3 points. Very few people managed more than 3 points, as 2-1 Stanley was the standout favourite prediction (10 out of 21, suspicious betting pattern I should say :eek:). Stanleyhouse, Tom D and Tommy McQueen put their faith in Toby Savin and picked up a bonus for "Fleetwood 0", but only Ossy Kid also restricted us to a single goal and took the full :):):):):) points as a result.

And 5 points was enough for the Kid to leap onto the podium in second place on countback, up from 7th. StanleyJosh did pick up a point for "Stanley 1" from his unwarranted pessimism, and his previously-closest challenger AccyTom18 joined me :o and others :o:o on the "No Entry" naughty step, but SJ's lead was still cut to 4 points. Outback Ozzy retains his 3rd place, on the same points as the Kid, Choirboy and TomD.

To explain "countback" :confused: - if points are equal, places are decided first by the greater number of maxis ("wins" on the table), then if necessary by the greater number of correct results ("draws"), then if still necessary by the greater number of entries ("played") :confused: ;).

So it's roll on the Gas, just a point behind us :eek:, on Saturday. That will make it 5 home games out of the first 8, so the table may look a bit flattering, but as long as it's showing another win, who cares? :D
