You can get a Now TV day pass for 9.99, so the same price as I follow. I've just looked on their website, it seems straightforward, fingers crossed.

https://www.nowtv.com/sports-purchase

If the game is televised on SKY TV then type it into your search box, choose the day pass for £9.99 and watch any of the 11 sky sports channels for 24 hours on either your smart TV, laptop, tablet or phone. You will no doubt need to set up an account and provide details......etc.....etc...Thats what I am planning to do next Friday for the game...

I think I've fought my way through to getting the pass via an Amazon Fire stick plugged into my telly. Painful process though. We'll see in an hour or so if it worked ....

Re: Charlton match

I already have a Now TV account. Used it before to watch Game of Thrones series which aire on Sky TV. Now just bought a sky sports day pass through Now TV. Received email to confirm that from Now TV. Can't see the Charlton v Stanley game in the Sports/Football section of the Now TV player of my Windows Laptop.

My plan is to watch the game om my Samsung smart TV, which has a Now TV App on it. So I'm going to have a beer or two and then try logging into the App on my TV about an hour before the game.......well thats the plan....I'll let you know how it looks in half an hour....all a bit of a faff but its the first time I've ever tried to watch a game on Sky this way!

Wow! First time in ages I got to watch a game. Really impressed by the overall quality.

Sir John knows a bit about this game I reckon. I suppose Colby wins MoM or maybe Baxter, but Nottingham’s quality was a pleasant surprise. Liked what I saw of Butcher, too. But I’d be listing the whole time if I was to mention those I Liked. Because it was a great team effort!

Re: Charlton match

Having watched the match on Sky, I cannot, in all honesty, pick one man of the match. Yes Colby scored 2 goals, yes Baxter was brilliant between the sticks and yes, the whole team performed as a unit and snuffed out any threat from Charlton. Good to see Gary get a few minutes on the pitch. A sterling performance that sends us up to nose bleed heights, nice to hear Chris Powell praising Stanley and saying he can see us finishing top 6.

Best game I've seen for a long time. A credit to both teams and a good advert for league 1. Both teams played in the spirit of the game. Stanley were impressive, though.

Immense team performance that must worry the socks off our rivals watching it. Thought Lee Bowyer's disappointed criticism of his team rather ignored how good we were against a team favourite for promotion.

That's because we have some really good player,s maybe not paid the most but that means little if your manager like Boywer can't get you to gel and play boy did he throw his toys out the pram post match interview, reading a majority of the posts on their fans forum they seem to think their players are better than ours why? Stanley are no longer little old Accy keep producing performance,s like that and some of these players will move to " bigger " clubs and if that equates to more money good for them.At least Cook and Powell gave Stanley a deserving accolade.

Kiwi John 09-01-2021 20:34

for a start if their players were so much better than stanleys then how could they have lost 2 nil. just because people have heard of em before do not make them better. as i have said a multitude of times its a team that win matches not just 11 individuals. bowyer is just another on the list of gobby managers who cannot take it beaten by stanley as if we do not deserve to play or beat em on merit.
