Re: Hull home match thread
Different line up. Assume Sykes not fully fit......Coley using the squad with a different bench.

Just via stats on betting site...they suddenly 'reversed' like the wrong buttons had been pushed during set up. Looks good now.

Re: Hull home match thread
Much more commitment and endeavour than last week. Lets hope we can win this.
C'mon you mighty Reds. |
Re: Hull home match thread
TV crew need to give the camera lens a really good clean! Awful at the start couldn’t make out the pitch markings! Slightly better after someone wiped it with an old sock! Hull started strongly but then the half was fairly even. The pitch could be a factor as I think it is stopping their flow! Referee has done well so far. (Hope I can still say that after full time).

Doesn't sound that even! |
Re: Hull home match thread
Just short of a bit of luck( quality ) in final third good shout for handball and penalty hope it doesn't cost us. McConville and Uwakawe linking up well Barclay keeping Malik quiet.

Re: Hull home match thread
Well we made Hull look like what I said during the first meeting not that good a side, we were back to what we do well pressing defending from the front, Coley got his selection spot on tonight Barclay looking like he had played their all season didn't put a foot wrong Uwakawe mom for me had a hand in both goals, good performance let's keep it up lads.
|
Re: Hull home match thread
Great result, well done lads, the dream is still on.

Re: Hull home match thread
Excellent performance from all eleven tonight, well done to them and the the coaching team. Especially impressed with Barclay’s contribution. Two very good goals to win it. Celebrating with lucky tomatoes tonight.

Re: Hull home match thread
to be honest i thought we would nick it but not by 2.i cant remember the last time at peel park when we won but who cares.:D:D:D:D:D
|
Re: Hull home match thread
just where did that performance come from. was really expecting the worst last night more than usual after our recent form. for once the changes in the team improved it which isn,t always the case. need to follow up this with another win and another top performance.
|
Re: Hull home match thread
Is it true they made Ben Barclay do the post match interview to stop him getting on the coach back to Hull? He stuck so close to them all match so they couldn't get anything going. Would have him as man of the match with Uwakwe not far behind.

Stanley certainly bossed the second half though and fully deserved the win! Team spirit was excellent personified by Dion Charles’ running, defending and vocally encouraging his team mates. Barclay stepped in and was excellent. Two great goals too should give the team more confidence for the matches to come.:mosher: ON STANLEY ON.:theband: KEEP THE FAITH.:wave8::rose8::signbeer::drink: |
Re: Hull home match thread
Choirboy, my apologies. :o
This is the problem when you're following the game via a phone app. :( The first 20 minutes or so, the BBC Sports app was showing c.70% possession & almost continuous goal attempts by Stanley. Yet some other contributors were saying the complete opposite, ie.- Hull were all over us. Confusing or what? As you obviously had the benefit of actually watching the game, I concede your summary was more accurate. Put it down to frustration that (according to the stats) our possession & goal attempts had failed to result in any goals by half-time. ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL! |
Re: Hull home match thread
ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL![/QUOTE]
The important thing is that we agree that Stanley played really well overall and fully deserved the three points!:theband: Onwards and upwards!:mosher::mosher: |
Re: Hull home match thread
its never been about stats especially the posession one. we have all been to games where we have been on top and you know we just are not going to score. then there,s the other games where the opposition have never had a chance all game but the game changes and you know its only about how long it will take em to score, usually an equaliser. we have been correct much more than we have been wrong in both cases.
