Re: 2020/21 Prediction League; Game 39 v Burton Albion (home)
Right then, after reading the "Headmasters intro", it appears an impromptu "Auf Deutsche" lesson is on the cards, although we're today referring to Austria.
Both are Germanic speaking nations with colloquial & linguistic similarities & also differences. "Unsere Burschen" being a colloquial expression which when translated basically means "Our Boys", in the dialect used within the Southern States of Germany & the Northern Alpine regions of the Austrian Tirol. Had this been Northern Germany or the more "Cosmopolitan & cultured" less rustical Länder von Österreich,(Counties of Austria) the expression would've been "Unsere Jungs", again referring to "Our Boys" as expressed in "Hoch Deutsche" (High German). ;) Tschüss, Servus. |

Can’t remember where I saw that (I did check that season’s table). You’re only as good as your source material, or “Rubbish in, rubbish out”
Doesn’t matter though, cos only you and me read them :theband::theband::theband: |

Organiser Stands Out On Low-Scoring Good Friday
Div3North perched alone on the fence on Good Friday, but over-optimism relating to shooting ability restricted his gains to 3 points :):):). For the rest of us, we got a point :) if we thought somebody, anybody, could keep a clean sheet. Nobody thought both teams would achieve this. Seven of us backed Toby, while StanleyHouse was unique in thinking we wouldn't hit the back of the net, though not alone in forecasting a defeat. And the result was that D3N leapt up the table from 20th to 14th :), and the rest of us just shuffled about a bit. In the Top Ten, Cashman pushed AccyTom18 off the podium on countback :), and closed in to a mere 9 and 6 points, respectively, behind pointless leaders Outback Ozzy and Stanley Josh, while I squeezed by Watchdog :D to reclaim 6th spot. Too much shuffling to describe in mid-table, but no changes outside the top 20. So roll on Easter Monday among the dreaming spires. Anything can happen , and probably will . What, exactly, is anybody's guess , but that's the point of the game, innit? On Stanley On!! |
