Saturday’s Wombles’ thread features the only league game where the teams played three x 45 halves, the Greek footballer who helped catch a streaker, and a bounce - well, several bounces - down Memory Lane with Erika ..... probably needs some football too, but all 3 of my laptops are in the computer shop overnight :D :theband::theband::theband: |

Leaving that aside, this was a day for the faithful on an evenly balanced day, with 9 of us on each side of the fence and 7 balanced on top. D3N's second maxi :):):):):) of the season was one of three, and his did indeed lift him into the elite, rising from 14th to 10th. Closer to the pinnacle, Watchdog's took him from 7th to 4th, just a point off Cashman's podium place. The final superstar was Leylandii, who had the biggest leap of all, from 17th to 11th. StanleyJosh, meanwhile picked up 4 points :):):):) which, combined with Outback Ozzy firing a blank, saw a change at the top  for the first time since, I think, Dec 15th. 4 points and progress also went to DaveinGermany (9th to 8th), Tom D (18th= to 13th) and Tommy McQueen (22nd to 20th). And the final faithful two, Cashman and MikeA, took 3 points :):):) and stayed exectly where they were, in 3rd and 12th respectively. For the rest of us, the drawmongers mostly (not AndyD :() picked up a point :) and the faithless mostly (not Ossy Kid :)) didn't. So roll on the Wombles. One of only two of our remaining eight games that you might logically  expect us to win (though obviously we hope to win the lot ;)). Which I guess means .... oh hell, what do I know? On Stanley On!! |
