a win would be a double celebration today. making our league position better and also making it harder for them playing stanley next season. rochdale down to me replaced by morecambe. surely i cannot be that lucky.

This funeral bizzo and your daylight saving nearly caught me out. I usually go to bed and wake up for the game....but today I realised ( courtesy of Bet 365) the whole thing starts about the time I would head off to the sack, so tonight I stay up till 2.30 AM our time then hit the sack-hopefully very happy.

Enjoying the game but they are the better side upfront nothing is sticking Bishop isolated if we want a win which is what we need something maybe system needs changing, they are just playing possession football we need to pressure them and give Bishop some support upfront.

Before Phillips came on our midfield was dire even Captain Conneelly was hauled off very poor along with most of the others playoffs gone, Rathbone for them always plays well against us sign him on.

I can understand after the heavy defeats tightening up but the cost to our creative play last few games is glaring no width reliant on set pieces and also today losing out possession wise not a good performance chance in last few games for Coley to look at likes of Perritt and others looking towards next season.

What an embarrassing result playing the bottom side and losing in such a manner.

We must have played Brazil three times in as many weeks.........Peterborough aka Brazil, Wimbledon aka Brazil and now Rochdale aka Brazil...............at least we are losing by a smaller margin ....each time we play......Brazil!

Joe !.. a couple of things cross my mind at this point.
The first being that when I saw the pitch for yesterday’s game I thought
“ Hmmm... this looks to be a good surface for Stanley’s ‘passing game ‘.
Unfortunately, this style was replaced by one which meant that the ball, from The Reds point of view, spent more time at high altitude rather than on the floor.
Secondly, as to ‘tiredness’ being a factor in the abysmal performances of late, it seems reasonable to assume that it takes more effort to kick a ball to a great height as to that rolling it around at ground level .. whither ‘ the passing game ‘ ?.
Thirdly, and I don’t want to overuse the expression ‘ unfit for purpose ‘, but yesterday afternoon at least three of the team who started the game of were introduced as substitutes did not appear to have the basic skills or tactical awareness to play at Football League level !.. and I can’t be the only one to spot and realize these shortcomings !.

Gosh !.. here I go prophet of dooming again ?..BUT..

I Never intend to offend !.. ( Poetic ?) but perhaps in retrospect my recent knee-jerk reactions have been somewhat scurrilous ?, and therefore some self-control needs to be applied !.
As to seeing me in the flesh ?, literally or otherwise. Time has not dealt with me that kindly since last we met, and thus it is not a sight to anticipate at all !.
But meet we will, and enjoy the occasion .
