Pompey game on the tele :)

Our last game of the season - in which we beat Pompey - is on Sky..........

Same result as Charlton ;)

We need to get our heads together and come up with something to rival that bell ringer(how much I was tempted to spell ringer end :D)

Then we can get our old mate Chimer on it :)

Why does it say this ?
Supporters will therefore only be available to purchase an Audio Match Pass through iFollow Stanley for the 12.00pm kick-off at Fratton Park.

Why “only”?
What’s the difference to every other game since iSwallow came along?

I think it may have meant to say “only able to purchase .....” rather than “available”?

So, I have to admit that I did not see the wood for the trees :o :o

So, we can hear it, not see it, unless you have Sky!!

The only consolation, for me, is if it brings more income to Stanley. But that’s the only consolation.
Somehow, 90 minutes of Dan Jewel’s informed wittering without seeing the game just won’t be the same!

Maybe, just maybe, he could watch the game on Sky and commentate from that?

Whatever happens, we are in League 1, we have Coley at our helm and we will win!!!!

when stanley are second in the premier league we can invade the wham and out andy holt. these fans have not a sodding clue what watching and supporting a proper football club is all about. they do not know when they are well off. they need to talk to bury and macclesfield fans to see what really bad ownership is. more bandwagon jumping yet again.

being a non season ticket holders i,ve purchased the stream for most games this season. for season ticket holders being promised a free stream for home games should be allowed for both clubs. it should not be too difficult to do this surely. remember it could be worse. national league fans get a similar deal to stanley season ticket holders where some clubs have had three games on that BT sports thing. with a smart tv you can pay for a sky 24 hour pass to watch at about a tenner. on BT sports you have to pay 25 pound for a monthly pass and then have the problem of cancelling it later. my lad tried it once. he,s far more computer friendly than i am but had problems.

I'll be buying a NOW TV (SKY TV) sports 24 hour day pass for £9.99. Did the same thing a month or so ago when Sky televised an earlier Stanley game. Can't remember which game it was. But you get better camera coverage. The commentary is poor, but you can turn that off if it is too annoying.

Charlton away, and the picture is better quality and doesn't go off.

thats fine for you and me though. not everyone has the facility to do that which is the problem. like many things in todays world you have to purchase things you do not really want just to keep up.

Correct, I did not know it had gotten so far out of hand.

They are very spoilt, and desperate to stop Liverpool winning the league for City on their ground.

Surprised AH wasn't there, as he was wearing a united "green and gold" scarf on his twitter, yet had a box there I also remember him saying. Never supported them of course, box was just business and the scarf was for a friend...

The pass is also valid for two separate devices, even at different ends of the country. There's no reason why a couple of fans can't get together and work out how to arrange it between themselves. ;)

Re: Pompey game on the tele :)

Folks

85% of the EFL's income comes from Sky and Sky Bet. We (the clubs) all NEED that money.

When you sponsor a league you expect to get rewards.

Live games is one of them and they (Sky) want you good people to view their product.

Clubs also get a facility fee to assist them with an inconviences for Sky showing the game.

I Follow is a substitute for fans not attending games. Home ST holders have been offered in lieu of not fully cancelling their ST's. Nobody ever thought of a full season without fans.

In L1 home clubs received a pre-agreed amount of away fans subscriptions in lieu of lost gate recepits. Not great but ASFC have done ok this season.

All not perfect, but it's got us through this season.

What we will have next season is still; sadly unclear !!:(

Better had be as a lot of clubs won't last without income for another season. Also think fans patience and habits will run out and change especially younger end who latch onto something different.

Joe/ Cashy;

Another L1 meeting next week.

EFL play-off semi finals seem to be home fans only, 25% of SEATED capacity (no terrace use) socially distanced with masks; unless exempt.

About 575

Re: Pompey game on the tele :)

575 ??

We'd be lucky to get that with the building work that's going on.

Positively hearing there could be announcement that smaller grounds with terracing CAN be used after 17th of May.

Still socially distanced with face coverings .

Things will be clearer when we know the 4 teams in the L2 play-offs. Surely there will be one English team with terracing involved so a decision will need to be made early next week.

FGR/Salford/Morecambe/Exeter/Cambridge are all in with a chance

So they should be. keep hearing about following the science but can see no difference between distanced seating or distanced standing at a sports event or anywhere else.

After 21st June if the government lifts all restrictions can't see how football can keep any restrictions on attendances in August without shooting themselves in the foot unless local councils have some say let's hope not.

you have more faith than i have. can see the movable goalposts being shifted round the pitch once august comes. if local councils do have their say most fans will have to read a twenty odd page report on do,s and dont,s of entering and watching a football match.

I just googled "now tv skysports day pass" I then just clicked on the options that appeared on sceen. It all seemed to go smoothly, even the downloading and installation of the video player that you need. It cost £9.99 which I paid by Paypal but you can use a debit card. Hope it works as easily for you because the picture quality is brilliant and there is more than one camera so it is much better coverage than iFollow.
