:theband:

Said last season he looked the part but needed a full pre-season to adapt from part time to full time football could be another on the Coleman talent finding line.

Rather strange hearing another manager bemoaning that Stanley are a team of 6 foot+ giants!
How times have changed!

Don’t we get a fine for six yellows?

If we do it will probably go to pay for Drysdale’s barber.

The FA have proven itself to be totally impotent in dealing with his excesses, so it seems he will just carry on dishing out more cards than Clinton’s.

well it was a win and three points. always like to beat crewe but have failed a few times in the past. once the media favourites who have been dropped off their radar after the court cases againt an employee.

Sky still seems to be having trouble loading the ‘highlights’ of the match (but not the ads, obv:rolleyes:).
Is anyone else getting the same problem.

Re: Crewe away(for some)thread.

Waiting beside the supporters' bus after the game, a very respectable-looking, middle aged Crewe fan said "Cheating bastards!" to me as she walked past. Given the state of Colby's shirt at full-time, after having it nearly dragged off him each time he challenged for the ball, what can she mean?

Testament, I think, to Stanley's game management, which has gone up a notch this season. That said, there were a few backs-to-the-wall moments, including one passage of play that saw Ross make two towering headers and a superb low block, followed by a brilliant Trafford save low down to his right. As Joe said to me at half-time, he's not at Man City for nothing.

I agree with those praising Morgan, who played perhaps his best game yet after putting in a solid shift midweek against Donny. He's good positionally and also organises those around him. A nod also for Butcher, who took a heavy knock early in the game from one of those saintly Crewe players that took him some time to run off, but his workrate in the middle alongside Pell is key to making this formation work.

Post Burgess we have played 3 games won all of them conceding just 1 goal, he as played twice at Ipswich lost one drew one conceding 4 goals not having a go at Cameron but if this stays has it is what a shrewd bit of business.
