Re: Sunderland away.

Line up:-
Trafford.
Clark. Sykes. Nottingham. Sherring. McConville.
Pell. Morgan. Butcher.
Charles. Bishop.

Subs:- Savin. Hamilton. Amankwah. Mumbango. Leigh. Nolan. Malcolm.

Good line up probably very close to our best 11 at present.

For a game away from home, about right :)

Hamilton impressed me when he came on against Shrews, would start most home games for me :)

Re: Sunderland away.

Sunderland 1-0 poor pass out leads to their goal.
Sykes wins the ball and gets caught out of position by giving the ball away, come on Stanley let's quieten this crowd keep it at one down till they are subdued.

Come on Ross another mistake and Sunderland should really be back in front.

Re: Sunderland away.

Hamilton on at halftime in place of Pell makes sense as Pell will miss next Saturday.

McGeady again 2-1 damnit. Dan Jewell said he unpicked our defence and laid it on for Winchester to score.

Unlucky today Stanley. Disappointed with the result, but definitely not with the performance. Onwards and upwards.

For me twas the best display of the season by our lads, result was not to be, but yeh cant take that performance away from the reds well done lads.

Re: Sunderland away.

seem to be getting the breaks at home and not away. at least stanley are winning these home games and not drawing them. a win away will come and a defeat at sunderland is hardly a season changing moment.

Re: Sunderland away.

In the cold light of the Monday morning following the Saturday before, I can add that sat there perched in the upper regions of The Stadium of Light ( should have taken my binoculars ?).. everything was good about the afternoon.... except of course the result .
It was a good team performance based on a maximum amount of effort from every member of the team , which must be a recipe for future success !..
But , and I'm not complaining at all, my last thoughts as I left Sunderland were around the fact that our strikers hadn't scored again,( although a fortunate header off the line denied Colby of a goal ), and a weakness on the left side of our defence which allowed a great deal of space for the opposing forwards to build up too many dangerous attacks.
I'm nit-picking again !.. well done Reds against a good Sunderland team of high-earners !.. ( with a 29,980 gate they can afford 'em !)

ON STANLEY !.. ON TO GREATER THINGS ! :alright:
