F.A. Cup - Rd 1

Another fantastic tie - not - in the F.A. Cup...

Away to Vale :(

At least it was not Crewe, or Tranmere :)

:) :) :)

Last 4 balls in the pot us Vale and two non league potential TV clashes and money in the bank and we drew Port Vale winnable but what a dreary away trip been at least 3 times not great but might be tempted just because it's the FA cup.

Winnable???? They are flying high Andy......

I hope we do win, as Vale fans are far worse than Alex fans :(

Was starting to wonder if we were even in the hat & had to leave before they finished the draw to go hospital visiting - was very underwhelmed when I saw who we've been paired with

Speaking with a few Vale fans at work and they are more than optimistic(quietly!)

Recent form is with them I fear... :(

Let us hope for a very good cup run this season :)

After last Saturday’s 1-4 victory away at Crawley, helped no doubt by our favourite ref, Kettle, sending off a home player in the first half, Port Vale are the form team in League 1

Mind you, the good news must be that surely Kettle won’t be allowed to ref Port Vale again so soon.

The one they lost 4-3 was a last gasper too.............

Re Kettle, there is still Drysdale and Sarginson..................................

Form means nothing in the FA cup or any cup competition for that matter if we play to our full capabilities we should win easily but nothing is straight forward, will be interesting to see Coley,s team selection because if we are to progress it should be a full strength team.

I've just looked at the odds for Saturday's match and seen that Dion Charles is 5/1 to score the first goal...

...with no mention of Harry Pell, even at 40/1.

Apparently, the officials are:
Referee: Benjamin Speedie,
Assistant Referees: Bradley Hall, Simon Shaw,
Fourth Official: Andrew Hendley,

We have played last few games against league 1 opposition with one up front and done pretty well formation,s don't mean much it's the player's put on the pitch performing with scores of over 7+ say and you,ll win more than you lose.

cut my teeth with an FA Cup tie at Peel Park 70yr ago this month, beaten 1 - 3 by Chester. Good job I regard this 'omen' business as no more than commentators drivel. C'mon Reds - stamp your authority.

Are we able to play all the loan signings or have their parent clubs put restrictions on it?

Will depend on the Club, not heard Coley's pre-match, but nothing in the written version on the website :)
