It's Getting Serious Now

I do sense a number of you are starting to get serious about winning this competition :eek:, and this partly explains why only 6 of you backed us to win this one :(. It would have been nice if such shining faith had been rewarded ;) but this was not to be. Thankfully, the 13 who jumped the fence were not rewarded either :D, the glory :rolleyes: and 3 points :):):) (no maxis) going to the 6 of us who remained perched on top, all voting for the late Desmond.

Of our Top Ten, only Mike A and Tommy McQueen took 3 :eek:, which did nothing for Mike's position (still 5th but closer) and lifted Tommy from 7th to 6th, at Monkey Hanger's expense. The other 3-pointers were Watchdog (17th to 15th), Andy D (20th to 18th), Me (22nd to 21st) and AccyMad (25th to 23=). Don't see any of us making a late charge for the title, somehow :(.

13 of the others got a point :), 6 didn't :(. Nige B was amongst those who did, and Stevie R among those who didn't, and that was enough for Nige to slip up onto the bottom step of the podium in Stevie's place. He's still behind Cashy only on countback, and Shurm remains on top, 3 points clear of both of them.

So, off to Argyle, another team going well :eek:. They should be pleased with us just now 'cos we took points off Wednesday, but probably not pleased enough to be happy if we take points off them too. So let's do it anyway ....
