Josh Woods

Really pleased to see the young lad start against Pompey :)

Made a huge difference when he came on against Wycombe (aided by Pell)

Hope that he does not end up having a stinker today.....

Given the result - might be a silly question - but how did he play??

Energetic performance for the most of it, made some good runs off the defender (shame none of the midfield lads could play a through ball for him to run onto), closed down their keeper well, did some good defensive work too.
Tired during game and switched off a couple of times late on just from throw ins when Pompey had ball in their. Seemed to be just trying to catch his breath.
For me, a small positive in the game. First 90 mins, first start… showed glimpses of some real skill with ball at his feet.

Advice seems to be at least six weeks to ‘heal’ a break in the foot. Depends what was broken, but the lad should make sure he’s fully recovered before attempting a come-back.

Great to see Josh getting a hat trick in the Bootle game tonight :)

Regardless of the opposition, great to see a striker scoring :)

Looked like a real prospect from what I briefly saw of him last season. Good luck to him, we need a few hat-trick merchants.

Very pleased for Josh scoring today, made an impact in the few minutes he was on the pitch :)
