No we don't he slipped over in training in December and tore a knee ligament. He's injured until at least the end of the season. Back at Burnley but not playing yet at any level.

Wish Mumbongo a successful recovery but, to broaden matters on this topic, what are folks’ opinions on loan players this season?
Imho, they’ve made a pretty average impact.
Trafford was effective, until he wasn’t, but now we realise he still can be. Amankwah promised much, but has never really established himself, maybe because he (like many in the squad) is not a natural left-back.
Mumbongo and Malcolm rarely threatened the opponents’ nets.
There may have been others but, as I can’t recall them, I assume their impact was marginal.
Some of the more exciting performances I’ve seen from players outside the first team squad were when some of our own U23s got a crack. Josh Woods and Scully are two that spring to mind.

Re: Loan Players!

I think we need an experienced Goalie first, toby is a good shot stopper but has no idea when to come out in my view.he has given quite a few away like that not his fault, that comes with experience,if we have a goalie coach he is not learning the lad.if it has to be a loanee so be it. if the gills go down i suggest trying to get Chapman back.

Re: Loan Players!

With the introduction of the under 23,s this season hopefully we will move away from loaning 5,6, or 7 players as in the past, has Cashy says an experienced keeper to me is a must next season wether permanent or loan, last few games I think young Savin has struggled with confidence after a long season with towards the end no competition to push him. Goalkeeper and Striker position,s are the two hardest and expensive position,s to fill but hopefully next season we will have both covered so has to progress.

i certainly hope so we have a great side if we can cover those positions ?
