"Never in the field of football has so much possession produced so few results"
58% possession - 1 goal attempt on target.

...back in my playing days in the top league here, we were awayin Wellington . We were completely 'owned' by the oppo who must've had 10000 shots at goal, while we had just two attacks. We won 2-1 :)

Re: Away at Shrewsbury thread.

Listening we should be 2 goals down good save from Jenson and 1 dragged wide when should have scored, haven't got into it since the bad looking injury to Baghuelou, Sangare struggling at left back and a few knocks expect change at half time.

Re: Away at Shrewsbury thread.

Two changes at half time Longelo on for Sangare and Liegh on for Pritchard.

They might not be one of the top sides but always have a decent home record excellent win believe Rodgers man of match for Dan Jewell and Astley was good too could be a real start of a good center half partnership.

He stopped a very good goal chance. He was on crutches later, so I hope he's OK.

I thought so too. There was a bit of a melee, so I can only think that the ref and liner didn't see it.

Looking at the (brief) highlights from Sky, I don’t know how the ref didn’t see their keeper elbowing Harvey as it was directly three yards in front of him.
Also couldn’t see why their keeper got so agitated as he seemed to fall over his own defender.

Watching the extended highlights on t’Fishy it appears the Shrews missed some very good chances. At least two excellent saves from Jensen, two others that should have been put away, and a couple fired right across the goal mouth that just needed a touch.
Those 3 points look even better!

Without doubt this was a game that we would have lost last season.
The difference was an outstanding performance from Jensen, who ensured we came away with all 3 points instead of zero.
Hopefully, having a competent keeper will ensure our goal difference this season will be much improved.

We have also gone back to a flat back 4 we have loaned the excellent Astley from Everton who looks a very good center half and Harvey back to his best position and possibly in the richest vein of form he,s had for a while, players play well when they have a commanding keeper behind them which in these early days Jenson is that keeper.

Very very highly rated at Everton glad we were able to get him apparently a few clubs were in for him just shows to me the pull John @ company have in the loan market doesn't always come down to money thank goodness.

Didn't think it was possible to appeal if it's two yellows?

Nor me, unless there is a loop hole in the fact that it was the same incident and at the same time????? :)

Red card overturned after claim of mistaken identity, Apparently the ref mistook an angry goalkeeper clad in neon yellow for a striped outfielder! Could happen to anyone!?

Shrewsbury’s moaning “it cost us the game” unbecoming in my opinion. No way! Your goalkeeper cost you. His antics were quite unbelievable and he should of course have had a red himself. And In my part of the world Flanagan would have seen red for the judo throw on Sean.

Re: Away at Shrewsbury thread.

The Shrews have now had three reds overturned, and are writing to the FA and PGMOL about the standard of officials:
