F.A. Cup - 3rd

Away to Boreham Wood :)

Not the worst, but would have liked to have been at home :)

Probably the worst 3rd round draw ever.
Too many unfair all PL ties spoiling the romance for the underdogs.
Our draw bound to be televised so an added bonus

Suggest Daggers v Leicester more likely TV fodder.

A not too bad draw really..
I'm tempted to predict that Boring Wood ( predictive text strikes
again !) will find it difficult to replicate their efforts of Saturday last ...as so often is the case !.
My second prediction is that Stanley will find themselves in the hat for Round 4 ..
However ....

Great draw.

Away to the Death Star.

Anyone thinking this is a automatic bye into round 4 are deceiving themselves.
Recall that last year they reached round 5 after knocking out Bournemouth, only losing to Everton in the 5th round.
I'm with Coley on this tie - we are the underdogs.
Let's hope Harvey is on goalscoring form.

Re: F.A. Cup - 3rd

Boreham Wood have a big, tough, experienced team, plus three loanees from Sheffield Utd and ex-Stanley Erico Sousa. And didn’t Piero go there too?
They beat Wimbledon (then League1), then Bournemouth (Championship) away, on their way to their 5th round pay day against Everton, who only managed a 2-0 win last March!
Although the Lancastrians managed to defy history in last Saturday’s Battle of Barnet, Stanley will have another fight on their hands.

Before we get too carried away here with negativity, I don't think anyone is going to underestimate Borham Wood. Least of all Coley and the team.

However, they're 11th in the National League, and so are obviously beatable.

If they win their game in hand they're in the play off zone.
Very tricky tie this.

Re: F.A. Cup - 3rd

there aint no ties that aint tricky, every small team wants to reach round 3 its a big deal to their players imho.

It isn't going to be on telly, and BW get around 1,000 at home so no pay day at all unless we win.
