Lets hope for a competitive performance from the lads and hopefully 3 points. C'mon the mighty Accrington Stanley.

Well if we win the second half 4 nil.....Happy Days.......at least no one can blame KIWI...

Re: Oakwell Quirk Debut Thread

Goals 2 and 3 from Barnsley all to easy. I EXPECT subs to start the second half. Problem still is its not sticking up-front. I'd bring on Adekoya for Whalley. He's busy but not effective in my opinion.

45 minutes of play and, according to the stats, just one off-target shot.
Just wonder if it has anything to do with playing three defenders and SEVEN midfielders?

Watchdog 21-01-2023 15:08

Re: Oakwell Quirk Debut Thread

3-0 down, second half commences and no substitutes....unbelievable Jeff!

Watchdog 21-01-2023 15:36

Re: Oakwell Quirk Debut Thread

77 minutes elapsed before a shot on target and it took Josh Woods to come on to achieve that.

Re: Oakwell Quirk Debut Thread

Coley still working on his formation ..........Quirk now in the centre of midfield.......
Just thinking to be fair, we are well outclassed today....and in most games.... so many injuries this season....no one expected this......? Did we...?.....Bit considering the injuries and resources available to the manager......I've rarely been dissapoointed with the effort from our team of probably League two and Conference ability players......? Well.....

It's not all down to him, most of the team didn't turn up in the first half - can't pin it all on the keeper

Not a surprising result, against a team who were in the Championship last season, just wonder if some minds were on another upcoming game.
But at least other results didn’t make matters worse.

Never said it was!
But a good keeper can literally save the day when the defence blunders.
A L1 quality keeper is essential to stay in L1.
Unfortunately Toby, bless him, is most definitely not.

$^#%*&%&(%(%...not good..I attended my mates 60th last nite which resulted in us all trying to drink like 20 year olds...slept thru the alarm but sprung awake at 5.05
( halftime)....checked phone for score , didnt like it and was asleep again within a second. Can only hope( and prey) the boys are saving themselves for a great effort on Tuesday. Advice to all, as if many of you need it, don't try to relive your younger days drinking skills when you're over 60...:(

Well spotted CG-started whopping with delight the minute it was announced on the radio..she might be liked overseas, but the greater majority of us are so glad to see the back of her, and hopefully, in October, her red party mates..

Well if you can persuade her to emigrate, we've a job for her over here ....

Thought young Quirk did quite well in his first game with Stanley. I hope there is a lot more to come.
