You had a change of heart Valarian ? It wasn't long ago you were moaning about twenty quid for a semi final ticket.

They are seriously taking the **** still using application forms. It is right up there with Burgess refusing payment at 10am as it is a match day and they expect it to be busy later.

10am - 4pm just need 2 hours off work then...

Renewed my season ticket yesterday with my mate..........the reason I was given for having to complete and sign a new application form is because the club have updated the Terms and Conditions including new clauses relating to any matches cancelled due to further outbreaks of Covid 19. Great value even with the slight increase....

Agree CG the price increase is quite modest and I'll agree to the revised conditions although after printing out the Application Form the conditions were so small that I could hardly read them, but I'll put that down to me getting old.

I don't think they keep the information in a workable database, hence the season ticket number changes. You would think they would assign you an number and keep it for all seasons like every other business and club who have you on a database.

We’ve got our applications already in but I believe it is 11 April.
However, it might be worth ringing Mr. Houseman at the club office just be on the safe side - 01254 356950.

Well based on this thread, including me and my mate...and the people who sit around where I am.....I'd say about 40 in total!........

No Val not seen anything official.......Our league position and lack of wins will have a negative impact. The price represents fantastic value for money for football entertainment.....unless you prefer to subscribe to Sky or BT Sport and buy a Top Six Premier League shirt. Facilities at the club are so good now.

Not seen anything official.....

Not great in my opinion, a tenner a game - even in these hard times - should not break the bank

Sky, B.T. Sports and the rest of the armchair brigade are killing the game quicker than V.A.R!

Don't think we sold that many over the thousand mark last season even for league 1 not about the price or hard times in my opinion the folk of Accrington in general aren't interested.

Re: Season Tickets

We did 2,813 last season in EFL 1. 1,007 seats and 1,806 standing.

Prices have increased this year £179 to stand from £150. My seat is £299 from £250.

Obviously it's going to be down this year with relegation and 1,600 sold up to close of play on 31st May.

They have brought in an instalments system to pay for your season ticket over 6 months I think which should
help people who can't pay in one go so I am hoping the final sales figure to be over 2,000.

Reading between the lines about the off field event,s at your club you need to sell has many has you can, a sale can't come quickly enough for your club best of luck with that looking as usual for our two fixtures when they come out and all the best for the season especially off the field and on it except when you lose against us

Yes , this is what happens when the owner sells his majority shareholding to a rogue. Fortunately most of the land is owned by The Christie Trust and cannot be sold for building houses. The 3G pitches and land over the open terrace are owned by Tyson Fury along with the Gym which he uses for training !

Yes, I recall reading that the new plastic cards were going to be ‘rechargeable’ each season.
Maybe they can’t be without causing too many problems?

My take is that new cards, equals 'launch event', equals ££££££££

The Club is about making money these days and I do not think I am the only person who thinks it??

:) :)

Re: Season Tickets

Talking of tickets this may be a question which Mark Turner can address I have a season ticket but this season on the ticket page you can only purchase online standing tickets, one of my son's who lives in Kirkham was going to surprise me Saturday and sit with me for the game unfortunately was unable to purchase. Not being critical or negative the only thing that seems to be pushed as a priority is " come in Coleys and spend " nowt wrong with that if it's what you want, but I presume any success on sales that increases revenue I hope a small part goes towards the players budget because at the end of the day that's what most of us care about and why we turn up.

Hi Val, I know where you are coming from but please consider 3 things.
1. We've just had a big drop in income following relegation.
2. The club is a business, like it or not, and if you stand still as a business you are not staying steady you are going backwards. The club must always try to increase its Income.
3. Sustainability means making a profit. Income must exceed expenditure year on year. Sustainability does not mean breaking even each year.

Very true and agree with every word but that doesn't excuse no explanation about being unable to buy seat tickets online and " cutting costs leaving out for the first time in my memory a little thank you for purchasing your season ticket " just stinks a bit of money above everything else including basic manner,s rant over I,m just interested in the team on the pitch .

Not disputing any of your points C.G., but there has to be a balance to everything :)

If we look around the world today, most scales have tipped too far and have 'over corrected'

Like Andy says, the team is most important :)

And beating Bradford tonight :)

Andy, going forward if your lad now knows the seat number next to you, he could next time ring the ticket office and book and pay for a ticket by phone then collect from the ticket office on the day of the game.

Could do but that doesn't answer why no seat sales online like last season with no notice or explanation by the club it's gone now let them do it their way.

They went online on Friday once Season tickets had temporarily stopped. You can't sell Season Tickets when people are able to buy your seat. We do it every season.

My mate and I have season tickets. He went up to the ground on Monday to purchase 2 seats (in our normal seats) and was told they weren't available. So he bought two seats on the same row but 2 seats away.

Tonight at the game, our season ticket seats and most of the row was empty. So we sat in our normal seats, having been told on Monday that they weren't available to buy.

It does rather sound like the Club doesn't have a clue about which seats are available for sale. Either the system recording which seats are sold doesn't work properly or the staff selling the seats can't use the system. Either way it needs resolving.

stanleyhouse 09-08-2023 06:42

Re: Season Tickets

It was a cup match. All seats were available to buy online.
Your seats were probably bought by someone online.
That's why you were told you couldn't have your seats.
Then those people didn't actually sit in those seats.
( because there were so many free seats people just sat anywhere)
The ticketing system works perfectly.
