First Day Pre Season Training

Some good photos on Stanleys website showing first day of pre season training.

It was good to see the long term injured players Jay Rich-Bahuelou and David Morgan training with the squad and looking ready for a full pre season build up. Did not see Toby Savin in any photographs or Joe Pritchard who I presume is still recovering. Sadly no Harvey Rodgers either, about who it is rumored that he has signed for Grimsby Town!

Two or three " newish " faces one looks a bit like Thierry Latty-Fairweather left back realeased by Burton Albion.

Is that not Joe Pritchard cutting the grass in the first picture novel form of training if it is.

Good luck Harvey, one of the 'Legend' types, regardless of the shortness of your time at Stanley :) :)

Would echo that sentiment.
Sad to see Harvey leave. He always gave 100% & was consistently reliable.
Blows the expectation of signing 'players of quality' out of the water when we can't even compete financially with Grimsby Town.

Don't think they will be paying Harvey that much more but a 3 year deal nearer to home is difficult to compete with.

Made worse when we leave it to lastminute.com for new signings.

Well we were early out of the blocks last season and look how that ended why all the panic we need to get it right this window or the season could become another long slog at the wrong end of a table.

Let's stop kidding ourselves!
No player of any ability will be queuing up to sign for recently relegated Stanley for the sort of reduced wages we can now afford in L2, nor are we able to pay the transfer fees required for quality.
For any free-agent, we are & will always remain, the option of last resort.
There is no urgency or panic involved because we'll simply be waiting for the crumbs to fall from the table again.

Well let's just hope that any new 'crumbs' we sign turn out to be just as successful.
Perhaps you can enlighten us as to exactly which 'quality players' we are currently negotiating terms with???

Just been looking at photos from Second Day of Preseason Training on the Fishy Site.:)
Good to see Jay Rich Baghuelou and David Morgan joining in fully. Does anyone know just exactly what stage of recovery they have reached?:mosher: ie. If they are fully fit to play in matches yet?:idunno:
Also looked like Joe Pritchard was doing some one to one early fitness work.:jimbo:
One or two faces I cannot put a name to? Players trying out with us I presume.:idunno:
