Heard differing opinions on the new rules for this season, but one change - and I heard it on Radio Lancs. post match reports, so it was not a mistake at our ground - that I think is brilliant, is the clock continuing to run for the added time :)

Beats looking at your watch, or mobile :)

Well done to the EFL, it worked well yesterday (but only as long as Stanley score during ‘extra’ time, of course) and the players also contributed by not messing around. I thought it would take longer for players to unlearn bad habits but the two teams proved me wrong yesterday.

The new rule about being allowed to deliberately push Stanley players into the hoardings is clearly still in place.

And don't forget the one where it is perfectly acceptable to drag a Stanley player down by the scruff of his neck in the box

I notice that the officials are just using some of the new rules and ignoring others......

Pushing and barging is allowed against a team in red.

Two goals and two long celebrations in the first half - 2 minutes added!!

One goal and about four substitutes in the second half, plus the injury to Seb (do not recall any others?!?!?) - 7 minutes added!!

The consistently poor performance of refs at The Wham is about the only certain thing about games these days.
