If you want to score against Stanley, just give them a corner kick :o

And injure their goalie - don't worry, nothing will be done

48 mins. Corner Accrington Stanley
49 mins. GOAL Tranmere Rovers?????
There are still 10 men left to defend between their goal & ours.
We're talking about a team here who have lost 7 out of 8 games.
Why do we always manage to roll over when we play teams at the bottom?

Let us face it, a team at the bottom and a team with a new Manager, was it ever going to be anything other than a defeat???

:)

Surely you know the answer to that Lord S !..the current squad are just not good enough yet ... But when they realise the difference between playing football and merely kicking a ball around I guess that just might make a difference ?.

Super grumpy Sunday.

Sometimes the stats defy any logic. For example take fouls against;
Stanley 10, Tranmere 16
Yet Purkiss issues no fewer than 3 yellows + a red against Stanley (not to mention the gift of a penalty)
As usual, our opponents receive absolutely nothing!

Mr Coleman keeps telling us what went wrong but he never tells us what he's going to do in putting things right. With the ticket, travel, refreshments its another £65 wasted watching a poor display. Not at all happy.

Re: Its the Tranmere away chit-chat thread.

Well as expected "much knashing of teeth" on this thread following yesterday's game at Tranmere. Lack of discipline by Jay and poor passing out from our holding midfield players looked to be the problem to me when watching the game live. The new holding midfielders line-up did get valuable game time in their positions but weren't at the races. I assume they will get more training and uidance this week....which they won't have got last week as Seamus and Liam were "surprise" omissions from the squad having picked up late injuries on Friday. Didn't think Tranmere had much of a cutting edge, just passed better up to and in and around the box.

On the positive side......rookies got valuable game time including.....Martin, Gubbins, Ben Woods........was particularly impressed with early signs from McEntire in goal (apart from the goal scored in the corner!)....Maybe unsighted? Couldn't tell from my angle.....

The ref, we'll it's just the normal inconsistent League 2 standard. The foul on Savin was at least a yellow card. Hope his shoulder injury is not too serious........nevertheless he could be number number 2 for several weeks.......Keep the Faith out there!.......as we are an inconsistent team we won't play that badly every week.....?
