Being battered in the opening 20 minutes......

Kode had a good/half chance :)

:)

Re: Walsall musings

Lucky to be going in at the break at 0-0 as Walsall could easily be 2 or 3 up and my thoughts were they should have been awarded a goal...the ball seemed to be miles over the goal line before Shipley cleared. Lets hope for better stuff second half

1-0 Stanley. We are much better so far this half.

Our defending from corners has become shambolic of late................

Seamus didn't agree - he was adamant it wasn't a goal but we were lucky not to concede a penalty with Kode's tackle

No complaints about the referee tonight, let the game flow without a fuss and fair to both side. Best referee i've seen since Ms Welch and shes now officiating in the Premier League.

Having listened to the managers post match interview this morning i wish to now retract my positive comments about the referee as we were being fouled all night. The referee was in fact terrible and i must now check which game i actually watched on the night.

Opinions always vary Watchdog, but I agree with Coley......and he's right about other games. We get "hammered with cards". Not sure if it's a larger crowd influencing the refs decisions or if we are over physical or naive! But in every game I've watched this season, and I watch nearly ALL of them ....Home and Away.....we get more cards than the opposition. So I disagree with you on this. It was even the same on the odd occasion that we've had our first choice players playing together......although that's a distant memory.

You'r right it's about opinions but, my comments related to last nights game not every game. The referee who officiated at last nights game was unique in that he has previously been a professional footballer and played the professional game. In my honest opinion he had a good game.
Incidentally, we have received 80+ bookings this season thus far. Surely every single referee who issued the bookings cant have a beef with us, or can they?

Maybe they do? Coley's always saying he phones the Head of Referees every week.....perhaps they are getting there own back?
