Next Manager - predictions
Who would you like? Who can we afford? Who will be willing to sign for a club that’s up for sale?

Re: Next Manager - predictions
Our former manager Derek Adams could well be in the frame BUT would he take on a job that with Accy up for sale mirrors the main reason he left us for Ross County ????
Always will have respect for JC BUT do feel that this decision was always on the cards after the rumoured fall out with the owner. Wish you well in your search for a successor. |
Re: Next Manager - predictions
it dont matter we certinly wanted shut,

Re: Next Manager - predictions
The club is in record debt, and the debt is worth more than the club is, it was £4.2m in June 2022, and the accounts up to June 2023 will be out later this month.
It will be someone on a first chance or last chance. Obviously we are safe this season but next is looking gloomy. |
Re: Next Manager - predictions
David Dunne was the rumour going round Burnley this morning.

The squads in transition, which was bound to happen following last seasons "quantity not quality" recruitment mistakes made by John Coleman. With the timing of Andy Holts decision, which is good for both John and Jimmy (paid until the end of the season and can look for new jobs) and the club's new Manager, with time between now and next season look at the team and decide who to offer contracts to and plan recruitment. The biggest problem as I see it is recruiting the right manager, as this is something Andy Holt has never had to do in his time as owner of Stanley. However, he's a clever lad and knows that he will suffer financially if he gets it wrong. Personally, I'm a great believer in continuity and as there will still be a lot if not more interest in the managers job at the end of the season I would see what internal interest there is in a caretaker roll either from the coaching staff and/or senior players for the last 12 games. |
Re: Next Manager - predictions
John Doolan appointed as interim manager & apparently Dibs is staying too - at least the lads (especially the younger ones) will have some consistency
|
Re: Next Manager - predictions
John Doolan named as Interim Manager this morning.
Sorry Accymad you beat me to it! |
Re: Next Manager - predictions
Following the announcement about John Doolan taking temporary charge I hope And Holt is going to make sure John is given proper full time support in the form of a capable assistant, whether from the develpment team coaching staff or from capable senior player.....obviously John needs a say in who this is.

Re: Next Manager - predictions
If we’re buying in I quite like the look of Danny Grainger at Workington. He’s said he’s leaving in the summer and he did get them promoted last season
