Tommy Leigh

Has signed for an undisclosed fee for MK Dons.

A superb player who will no doubt be missed.

Another one going to a League 2 rival. I'm really hoping our budget doesn't come back to bite us this season and that John Doolan and his team can work wonders with the lads they're picking up from lower leagues.

Unfortunately Tommy lost his mojo last season, whether it was due to injury or other factors I don't know, he only really came into some sort of form towards the end - wish him luck but we have players who are more than capable of replacing him

Really enjoyed watching Tommy when he first joined us but imho he wasn't the same player last season and Ben Woods for me is a better player albeit i do wish Tommy all the best at his new club.

Agree, Watchdog, and, other than two games, hope Tommy has a good season. He has served Stanley well over three years but suspect that extended period being made to play as a lone striker didn’t help him develop his skills as an attacking midfielder.

Not a surprise, wish him well :)

This isn't a criticism of Tommy it's football.
He had his head turned on a few occasions and it was clear to see that when those moves didn't happen his head dropped.
The form improvement was indicative of the fact he was putting himself back in the shop window.
I have no idea how this move evolved but I have to say I'm surprised its MK Dons.
I thought better clubs were expressing interest.
We have to move on .... welcome to the tough area of recruitment on a restricted budget Mr Doolan.

Thanks. MikeA.
Personally I thought the best was from the Cambridge player who took the ball from the half way line and beat numerous opponents before slotting home. Much of the rest were just spectacular but speculative long range efforts.
