Excellent news to wake up to....so I might have cursed him by putting a massive $2 @ $5.5 to get one...hope I haven't.

Hunter scored a good goal, well taken during a period of excellent first half play from Stanley.
Stockport equalised with a well struck loose ball in the box, only to immediately go up 1-2 after a missed-placed pass from Stanley’s defence just outside the penalty area. That was the first mistake Stanley made in an otherwise promising first half - and it was immediately punished. Where have we seen that before?
Second half Stockport smothered Stanley, out-marked them and stopped them making any telling forward play.
Score line flattered the visitors somewhat but they were the stronger, more organised team and deserved the win.

Re: Psssst Kiwi . . . . .

After Stanley’s good first half performance last night I wondered if they were playing a (mainly) second string Stockport team.
But no.
Of The Hatters’ starting eleven, six started in Saturday’s league game and four were on the bench.
They made four subs, all of whom were in Saturday’s starting squad, so their finishing eleven consisted (presumably) of eight first team picks and three bench players.

'Ahem'...In light of how this thread has evolved, I think it has become the 'match thread' and therefore we can absolve me and blame Mrs Mad.

With a swerve like that you should be playing on the wing, KJ.

To be fair, technically it wasn't KJ - it was me & I shan't do it again, I've learned my lesson
