Four points off the drop zone - Morecambe 23rd Placed Away Post Mortem

0-2. Those most likely to retrieve the situation came on too late.

Stanley could & should have been 2 - 0 up by halftime, such was our dominance in the first 35 minutes.
At least two gilt-edged goal scoring chances were wasted.
Those missed opportunities came back to haunt us.
More saddening were the embarrassing banners displaying loyalty to Messrs. Coleman & Bell, which are hugely disrespectful to our Chairman, management & players.
Perhaps those responsible should be supporting one of our southern competitors instead of Stanley.

Seeing as I'm in a zone thats 12 hours or a 'day' ahead of you, my Saturday was great (nice horsey trifecta :) ), but its today, Sunday, thats a real bastard now.

Yeah, I've seen pics of those banners, and I have to agree with you that it don't seem right. BTW, do those same people recall that their 'idols' walked out on Stanley several years before?

The Stanley ground has pictures of past heros in the away end, is that disrespectful to the current players?

We have a far right majority shareholder who has the club £5m in debt to him, and no better on the pitch than when he took over. Plus he is a Manchester United fan who wore a protest scarf related to their majority shareholders putting them in debt. You couldn't make it up.

You just did. If that banner is disrespecting anyone it’s not current players but the manager & coach.

And perhaps you could suggest all the far left billionaires who are just gagging to gift enough of their own money to keep Stanley solvent? Or maybe the owner should just give the club to the CCP, along with all our other assets.

I was looking for Andy Holt's take on the current situation but his Twitter account seems to have disappeared again.

John Coleman's contribution to Stanley's success in the past cannot be questioned and he will always hold a place in our hall of fame.
Although I would suggest he had as many dissenters as disciples within the fanbase by the time of his departure.
However, that success is now consigned to history and he is now in charge of one of our rivals.
These banners express more an 'anti-club' message against the current owner/management as much as any support for John Coleman.
No one individual is more important that the club itself.
Time for some people to let it go and get behind the club, before it's too late.

The accounts show £5m debt to Holt's other companies and that interest is also being charged on the debt. That is black and white not made up.

No one is going to touch the club at its current valuation, and the share issue Holt said would be used to pay back some of the debt didn't happen.

The new accounts are out next month, should be interesting.
