Seamus Conneely

Sadly Seamus is leaving us this summer at the end of his contract, although we knew his playing days were probably numbered I was hoping there might be some sort of coaching role he could step into.
Thank you for all you've done for our club Seamus & wishing you & your lovely family all the best for the future

All the best to Seamus and thanks to him for all his service to Stanley.
Hope he finds somewhere that can use his ability and knowledge.

Farewell Seamus.....thanks for the your honesty and a mostly cool head when it got tough. Good luck for the future.....and maybe come back one day when you've made your coaching mistakes elsewhere...

Not at all sure about this one....hope it doesn't limit opportunities for the next generation of midfielders.

Why would you think that ?
Players are selected on form / fitness etc.
If you're good enough you're good enough.
Are you suggesting Seamus will be selected ahead of players performing better than him because if so its the Manager you need to look at.
No room for old pals act in football.
Seamus can be just as influential off the park as on it.

My impression of Seamus last season was that he was often "running on empty" many times when he played. I wasn't surprised when he didn't sign for 25/26. I hope I'm wrong and he can emulate Mr Whalley .....

Re: Seamus Conneely

Let's just get the facts right. He didn't refuse to sign he was released. Subsequently I assume the Manager has decided he needs him back in house. So he's back ....... Clearly your opinion isn't shared by the Club.

Clearly Twenty Eight, but it is my opinion.

I'm not going to talk about Seamus. I liked and still like him as a player and reliable captain. Hoping it all works out for club and player.
