Me and Valairian have a dilemma

Do we continue with the PL for another season, or has it run its course: last season we ended up playing with about eight people, which is a come-down from the 70 players we used to have

My heart says that there’s life in it yet, although my head has doubts …

My solution is a trial period; for August's games I will do a heavily pruned version - basically “we’re playing Gillingham, guess the score”. If, at the end of August, we have a reasonable set of players playing regularly, we’ll carry on; if we have four regulars we’ll pull the plug

I’ve never asked Joe (or Chris before him) how long each game takes up in his time. For my part, a short opener is about two hours, a long one is three

Its a nice distraction for those that play it, but time consuming for you I guess.

Didn’t see this until this evening, wouldn’t have scored any points if I had. Used to take me about an hour a game, but I’d got all the points scoring automated so only had to enter the guesses to get the table sorted, then write the drivel. Took a bit longer at the start of the season until the players settled down.
