Absolutely stunning goal today by Tyler! I have a theory which I call “The Theory of Four”. Basically, I believe there are rare occasions when four things happen in quick time then something unusual, or an accident or something amazing can happen! Well today four things happened in quick time….1) A brilliant pass by Liam Coyle….2) A perfectly timed powerful run by Tyler….3) An amazing piece of skill by Tyler to outwit two opponents….and 4) A beautiful finish by Tyler to slot the ball into the bottom corner of the net! Result; Goal of the season for Stanley…so far! ps Coyle had a great game too today!🥰👏

I thought they all had a good game. Special mention to Josh Smith and Isaac Sinclair for excellent debuts.
Gillingham appeared to be playing rugby at times, they were so intent in pushing, shoving, holding and tackling above the waist, thought Ainsworth had a bit more class than that. Stanley stood up to them and played some nice stuff but, other than Walton’s excellent goal, just missed that bit of guile around their penalty area. Good start. |
