Re: Stanley v. York - The Positives
Redskin...I don't personally think there is anything wrong in you or anyone else not going to the game for whatever reason... But two minutes after people have stood in the freezing cold watching crap you then tell them you sat at home in the warm.. it winds them up :)
My last post was my sense of humour not a go at ya :) |

Re: Stanley v. York - The Positives
Hehehe - The question we have to ask now is , Is Redskin Paul Cook? And would he go to the final if we got there? Or would that be all things Disney as well?? (<== just in case the normal smileys are not being noticed ;) )

My point was that people who did stand there braving the cold watching crap, maybe dont like hearing about others who stayed at home in the warm... A fair point I think :) there reaction maybe over the top but hey...its just a messageboard :) |

Re: Stanley v. York - The Positives
I went to the match on Tuesday as a comitted Stanley supporter. I work most Saturdays and a lot of Tuesday evenings out of necessity not choice. I have a mortgage to pay and a family to support. Whenever i am not working and Stanley are playing I go to the game. It doesn't matter if it is a so called "mickey mouse" cup or not I will be there home or away. I do not consider myself a fair weather supporter, and object to being bracketed as one because of work committments. I also believe in choice I will not condemn anyone who chooses not to go to a game for whatever reason. Where was everyone just before Christmas when we played at Leigh just down the road. Where you all christmas shopping perhaps?

Re: Stanley v. York - The Positives
Although I'm usually the first one to complain about low gates, I don't think Tuesday's attendance is as worrying as it first appears. As Jeff has said, other club's gates in this competition were low. Morecambe attracted 406, Northwich 259, Tamworth 412, Forest Green 223 and Gravesend 240. It's obvious that the GLS cup has failed to capture the imagination of the average supporter, so let's not panic too much.
