What About A Song

Right, i've shot my gob off on other threads about putting my hand in my pocket for fund raising for other stunts.
Well kids i've had an idea, how about recording YOU LIGHT UP MY SENSES that can be burnt onto CD and distibuted to fans for a small charge.
i play guitar and bass and know other musicians that would be interested and a mate of mine has plenty of recording equipment.
the vocals of course would be done by the ultras.
what do you think?

no, keep it traditional. more rousing in the vain of land of hope and glory, like it sounds on the clayton end

The lyrics are almost certainly P.D. (Public Domain) and free for anyone to use.

Unfortunately the music is copyright. The owners are the John Denver Estate, I believe.

The PRS is very active with regard to football songs ; unless you clear copyright through an accredited organisation you stand to suffer a heavy penalty in fines and punitive royalties - far more, probably, than you could hope to make.

I'd recommend speaking to a reputable recording studio before you do anything, and I genuinely hope you have a successful outcome.

i did consider that possibility so i have a back up plan.
let's write our own song.
after all there must be plenty of ideas around these parts, so chuck all ideas my way.
