i mte get slated for this but hey, no disrespect to the current players either....

personally id have to say Gary Williams, when he played at the Crown he looked an absolute class act, shame we cashed in so soon , i was also wondering what his goal scoring record at stanley actually was?? does any1 know?? id also be interested in hearing other peoples views ?? thanks

he said TEN seasons.... surely you have to have been watching stanley for ten seasons to make a response... I havent replied because I havent got ten seasons under my belt... how come others who have been coming less seasosn than me can make a call as to best player in last ten seasons?

I voted Brett Baxter as my favourite player for the period to include 1985 -1990 & 1999 to 2005. For the other period I was a member of HMForces & probably to busy seeing "gentlemans" clubs all over the world to bother about Accy Stanley!

Brett was a favourite of mine.....

Special mention to most of the recent players involved in our "glory years" from Premier Relegation to Conference promotion

First.. don't be so touchy people :) .... I simply poined out why I wasn't voting and wondered how so many people could vote on a best in ten years when they havent been following ten years..

Simon Carden..why? Also russ Payne..Why? I didn't think they stood out as well as others Jase.. Depends on what your looking for in a player.. My top qualities in a player are pride and passion over skill... I prefer the skilfull player on the pitch but if your having a vote then pride and passion counts more and for that it would be a close run thing between Hacker and Jamo for me...

I couldn't let this thread pass without adding the name of a player who always gave 100% every game he played. Perhaps he never quite lived up to his billing, but his never-say-die attitude will always stick with me.

There has been alot of good players graced the Crown (IES) turf
over the last ten years. But the question is Who was YOUR favourite player
over the last ten years.

My personal favourite has to be Billy O'Callaghan. The guy was awesome.
He was abit of a wild card off the field but you don't find many strikers whos
team they played for were relegated and STILL finished leading goalscorer in
the league by some distance.

Others that come to mind are : Jamo, Jay Flannery, Steve Hollis, Russ Payne, JC, Mark Shirley, Brett Omerod, Lutel.... the list is endless.

also does any1 remember Pete Smith, now he did giv 110% in every match!, i seem to remember him breakin his leg somewhere, cant rememeber where abouts it was tho!
