Rory, whether we like it or not, will go when the price is right and he wants to. Let's hope neither fits the bill this time around.

Re: Port Vale after Rory

It's becoming more noticeable with every match that he isn't get the service. If it carries on I think he'll be asking to leave!!! But all I can say is RORY DON'T DO IT!!!

Outback Ozzy 07-03-2005 12:26

Re: Port Vale after Rory

Although i couldn't get to the game on Saturday, I was at the match last week against Bamber Bridge, and as I have said in another thread, there appeared to be bad blood between Rory and Evil. They were definitely effing and jeffing at each other, and even in that match, no-one would pass to the left wing, everything appeared to go through evil on the right.
Anyone seen this or am I the only one - comments will be welcome

Re: Port Vale after Rory

It would seem the NLP strikes again. A source that shall remain un-named has spoken to the Vale manager who says they did have someone there recently but nothing came of anything and thats the end of the matter.

It would seem the NLP just puts 2 and 2 together and prints whatever answer they come up with so long as it's not 4 :) So rory stays thank goodness... I said it last time and I will repeat.. Without Rory we would have little or no chance of the playoffs in my humble opinion...

Ozzy.. I am closer to the pitch than most... I know exactly what your reffering to and I was very surprised at what was going on.. Lets hope it stops soon....

everyone argues...but lets just hope it doesnt put a dent in the promotion hopes by splitting the dressing room ....

Re: Port Vale after Rory

Not putting evil down at all... but maybe the 'player of the month' award went to Lee's head and now sees that he can set up his own goals and wants Rory's limelight - hope it isnt true but something has got to be done about this communication problem between 2 of our most vital players in our promotion push.
Whatever their difference is they've got to sort it out and focus all their energies into getting us back in the league

zayno14 07-03-2005 17:12

Re: Port Vale after Rory

i agree..sort it out fella's!

Hey guys, Port Vale supporter here. Hope you don't mind me popping by.

This is the first we've heard of the rumour down in Burslem and I can't see it being true. Vale barely have enough money pay the players wages let alone spend 25k on a winger when we already have two!

I think it's either as someone has said the NLP making some random number from 2+2 or your manager touting for bids!

I'll stop short of wishing you good luck for tonight as I am a keen follower of Northwich Vics as well as Vale but good luck in your promotion campaign and I hope we don't play you next season if you do go up!

Coley plays down that any bid has been made by Vale

and...by the by - 25k??? nowhere near enough for the best winger in the conference

Re: Port Vale after Rory

well what ever is or isn't going on between Rory & Lee (and whoever else for that matter) shoulnd't let it get in the way of football. They're professionals for god sake! They get paid to play and they are all working towards one thing.........promotion!
when one player is left out by another the club suffers. We ain't in the school playground now!

kaz:)

Re: Port Vale after Rory

supposedly they offered, 25k, what a joke!!

i honestly think rory is worth 100k, if we where 2 sell him,

IF we did sell him, i belive there would be alot of fans that would be seriously ****ed off

KIPAX 10-03-2005 13:06

Re: Port Vale after Rory

Well the port vale manager says they never made an offer.

where do you get a 25k figure from. If your going to post stuff then you should post the source ? :)

lets put it this way children, the NLP aren't the people to blame here, eric/stanley no nothing about a rory interest, nor do port vale, the likelyhood his, the highly skilled/talented and rather fruitnutty, rory, has told the nlp himself, because afterall, "his best mates the captain at port vale" doesnt something smell fishy to you? oh no, th'fish markets just opened, im off for some grub

I spoke to rory after the northwich game last week, and the lad bless didn't know anything about it, although it did rather amuse him!!!

Re: Port Vale after Rory

Have to agree there Sparkie,he was more than a bit niffed off at all the rumours when I spoke to him on Sunday and the biggest news of all to him was the "stormed out of training " line!
"Fruitnutty" ?????
Personally I prefer players to have a bit of personality,a sense of humour and be friendly with their fans.Rory has all that in bucket loads;if certain individuals don't appreciate him it's very much their loss.He is a great lad, generous with his time and he appreciates the fans more than most.People should appreciate the real Rory and not keep making something out of nothing.

Re: Port Vale after Rory

Just don't want to be tarred with the same brush as other "sources"!:)

Anyhow;from the horse's mouth;he knew nowt about the latest Bristol bid till he was told to look on teletext tonight;I think it's gone now but was about page323/333 ish.Quote from their manager saying they are def interested.Rory said he is here for the rest of the season and then basically it's out of his hands. He is 26 next month and desperately wants to play league football;if a club comes in with a sensible offer we will lose the BEST winger in the Conference.I personally think that the Club need to do all they can to hang on to him;but I would not blame him if he goes;he is a talented lad and has to have his own interests at heart.Let's just hope we make the play offs and increase our chances of keeping him in a Stanley shirt! {if God forbid it comes to losing the Roar;there had better be a bloody great sell on clause in there!**

zayno14 17-03-2005 20:15

Re: Port Vale after Rory

i agree id hate 2 c him go. But i could not blame him 4 doing..he is in my eyes the best winger in non league football! No-one can blame him 4 wanting to play league football and follow his own ambitions.
