McEvilly apparently out 4 season

After being subbed off in first it is apparent thta our hitman evil will be out 4 the remainder of the season because of a groin injury..if this does turn out to be the case then we will be playing carlisle again in the conference next year. If it isn't cottier lied 2 the chicken bus!

forum is full of useful information tonight, will pass the info on to coley and the physio team so they know...

harwood red 12-03-2005 23:04

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

Let's just hope it was just coley being cautious, cos we really need evil if we want to make a real go at reaching the play-offs. His pace and power has been immense

Cafu01 12-03-2005 23:10

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

It didnt come from coley it was from Evil himself, cottier interviewed him after the game

harwood red 12-03-2005 23:16

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

what did he say???

Cafu01 12-03-2005 23:37

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

He said he has had a groin injury for quite a while but he has played with it, but this time its proper bad, he was struggling to walk apparently

harwood red 12-03-2005 23:44

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

Must admit he does seem to have struggled slightly in last few matches and pulled up a couple of times.(Not that I spend my time watching evils groin!!) I hope it's something they can sort pretty soon, I'd hate to have to lose him when we are soooooo close to the play-offs. Although I'm, getting pretty dizzy with the amount of times we've moved in and out of the play-off position. Stanley's footballing version of the hokey cokey me thinks....

hope ur right jimbo but our last 3 performances have been far from impressive, but maybe the two new boys can inject a bit of needed life and energy into the side.

Adam Cottier 13-03-2005 14:49

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

I only interviewed Coley who said Evil would be going for scans.Evil was limping quite heavily whan I saw him after the game and in my view, with it being a groin injury and with so little of season still to go, he COULD be out. Looks serious but h.opefully I will be proved wrong

These rumourmongers do more harm than most of us believe. They should shut up and concentrate on the bigger picture!{and that includes the NLP!**

The players do not need to be plagued by guesswork and idiotic comments;just let 'em get on with it!

Sure Evil Is Big & Tough Enough To Take Yet Another Knock As He Has All Season! Let Coley & Jimmy Worry About Fitness Of Players-thanks For Robs Words Of Wisdom. If It Is Not From The Club Its A Rumour-we All Know Rumours Have As Much Staying Power As Kevin Keegan!

i played for manchester united for three years but then was hit
badly with a hernia which ended my career but im as fit as a fiddle now
and hopefully i will be the physio for the ultras on sunday morning

OLDHAMADE 15-03-2005 19:32

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

I hope Evils back on Saturday for your sakes, he's a decent player to have around and it might explain your poor form in the last 3 games when he hasn't been his normal self and carrying an injury.

We're the opposite and playing you lot at the right time, bang on form with all guns blazing and ready to do battle and we won't be coming to your place for a Draw and Coley knows it

Bit more than a Six-Pointer i'd say.

Couldn't agree more. It was the personal view of a young (unqualified) lad's "diagnosis" of one of our key players as he watched him walk!!! I for one won't be writing anyone off yet.
Let's wait for the official qualified opinion!

And as for you Cotty, you really should think before opening that irresponsible gob of yours!

WHY???
Don't know the guy, but, I'm afraid, from what I've read on here, got to agree with Alice.
I might be doing him a great injustice, but,
IF he is a journalist, (as Kev aspires to be), he has to be accurate with his facts, not just use his 'status' to spout his own opinions.

Must realise that 'rumours', no matter how well intentioned the original comment, can be detrimental to all parties.

Smiffy16 18-03-2005 19:26

Re: McEvilly apparently out 4 season

Can we not give this as rest now??

Yes Cotty got it wrong but isnt that a good thing Lee Mac could of looked really bad on Saturday limping after the game...BUT...he's back now and ready for tomorrow, and that's all that matters!

There's no point in getting on people's backs we all support the same team...

Here's to 3 points tomorrow!!!!!!!

COME ON U REDS!

Sorry, Smiffy, if you thought I was prolonging this, but only just come on here after several days away....felt I had to comment.
My feeling is, that journalists have so much to answer for, regarding the adverse comments on our 'beautiful game'... you only have to read the National press to realise this.....

When we see this filtering down to the Local Press, & eventually, to the aspiring journalists (ie, Kev), I feel we have to make our feelings known.

You're right, we all support the same team, but, somehow, it seems in different ways....see Red Herring!!!!

Be there tomorrow, we'll get the three points!!!!

According to the Morecambe website all there singers are congregating in the cowshed because that will generate more noise and it's close to the players...

Answer.. dont give them the cowshed.. theres no need. they wont overfill the coppice end and it aint gonna rain.
