Supporters' Club Update - Social Event in April
 

Just a quick "Thank You" to those determined souls who came out in that dreadful weather on Monday night , and no criticism intended of those who couldn't make it .

Attendance was slightly above average, actually. We were pleased to see several of our younger Members who made a very significant contribution to the proceedings - great enthusiasm and ideas which will definitely be taken on board (more of this in the future, please !)

We'll be holding a social event in the Sports Bar on Sat evening, April 30th, with Cabaret, FREE buffet, raffle with SIGNIFICANT prizes, and surprise events . Non-members are welcome. For those of you who think that the Official Supporters' Club (OSC) is trapped in some sort of time warp, I have to say that you might be right on this occasion because the Tickets will only cost £3. Yes that is Three Pounds. (I know, it's a bit like watching an episode of Heartbeat. Pity the ale won't be priced 1960s style. 19p a pint would be very nice . . .)

A sell-out is expected, so please watch out for further announcements very soon when the Tickets are on sale.

All help from volunteer Members would be greatly appreciated ; food preparation, or any other skills which you have to offer. Just let me or Malcolm know.

Kipax , your response is ungracious , to say the least.

I notified supporters on this forum, 48 hours after the Social had been agreed. Not good enough for you ?

If you didn't read it , whose fault is that ? Lots of other people have heard about it on the forum and at the Meeting. Certainly 75 according to the statistics available, plus of course all the friends to whom they passed on the information.

There will , of course , be an update once I am told by the Supporters' Club Chairman that the tickets have been printed.

As for the Fans' Forum , I understand that this is something organised by the Football Club and which will be listed on the ASFC website. I'm prepared to stand corrected but I believe that it is not exclusively to do with the Official Supporters' Club, but is (as its name implies) a Fans' Forum , regardless of whether those fans are members of any official or unofficial organisation. The Supporters' Club has its own access to Directors and Officials of the Football Club , and they kindly arrange for a representative to attend our Meetings on the second Monday of each month.

Finally , if I may return to the subject for which I am partly responsible - the April 30th social - it really is a source of considerable surprise to me that someone who seldom attends Supporters' Club Meetings should consider it wise to protest "Well no one told me" , as if that is the fault of the Supporters' Club !

Settle what.. the fact that no one has posted to this thread for nearly two days and theres nothing more to be said would seem to have settled it..

hi everyone just read this and ive got to side with henry this time i knew it was on as i read henrys post on 16/3 but IF THEY HAD THEIR OWN WEBSITE running then it could have been on there

I heard about the do.. I spoke to lots of people who didn't know about the do... So I posted on here... Thats it.. if henry wants to have a fit about it and you want to start taking sides then thats up to you two

All I wanted to do was inform people... Simple as that.... No arguing.. no having a fit.. no taking sides... just letting people know about the do...

Seems so simple to me :)

The Official Supporters Club website is waiting to be made public and has been for quite a while now. I need the nod from Henry to make it Live!! :)
