Golden rule- only use substitutes for injuries or to retrieve a losing position - its gone wrong so many times for us substituting a winning team. Tactical subs are nonsense.

Paul had a great game. And he made the second goal by laying it off to David Brown on the right who made a superb cross for the incoming Craney to nod in.

Bottletop 26-03-2005 11:22

Re: latest score

How can the people on here who never went to the game last night blame Paul Cook???

Don't get me wrong he has had many stinkers this year but yesterday he never did anything at all wrong, Coley brought him on to try and slow the pace and put his foot on the ball and slow the game down and Cooky did what he was told and never put a foot wrong.

You cannot blame Paul Cook for yesterday there were 10 other (tired) players on the pitch. But hey lighten up we got a point at Burton, although it should of been 3 really, lets forget about it and cncentrate on the battle of the roses on Monday against York......

Keep the faith everyone :) And make sure everyone of you on here gets down to the IES on Monday, except the southerners who cant make it:) otherwise get yer name down to Crawley and give your full support to every single one of the lads out there, even Paul Cook:)

Come on Stanley !!

i can see why u say it is jon colemans fault maidstone red but it can always work the other way 2. For example morecambe at home last weekend..rory was an inspired sub. It sometimes works 4 u and other times it doesnt..

Jimbo T Hornblower 26-03-2005 18:53

Re: latest score

Dont fret Im keepin the faith and have done all season but that pic says it all. Dont get me wrong but why bring someone on to 'put his foot on the ball and slow the game down' as you put it when we could have really done with finishin the Stoke rejects off???

Cooky is no good on the Conference field and thats fact - hes probably sh1t hot behind the scenes on the training field but thats where he should stay.. You can only expect one thing when he comes on, and thats for the opposition to score - which they duly did... AGAIN..

Anyway - we will take it out against York on Monday Im sure.. Just very surprised like a lot of others on here why Cooky even bothers coming on anymore... He should stick to what he is best at and thats not playin the field at Conference level...

Frank but fair...

Controversial?? I dont give a toss - this is only my opinion.. Like it or lump it..
Jimbo T :horn8:blower

zayno14 26-03-2005 19:47

Re: latest score

everyone is entitled to there own opinions and in this cas i agree with you JT. Cooky should be just a coach.

baldy 26-03-2005 21:37

Re: latest score

how can people say "oh bloody paul cook AGAIN"
when u didnt even go

ok people might not beable to go because of the distance

but why dont people book on the coach and cheer the red men to stoke
instead of going to yoga or painting your nails.

ok i cant say to much because money restricts me going to all the away games
but i try and go as many as i can and have a sing-song on the way back
and go and cheer stanley on at this crucial part of the season

then you can judge paul cook and come on hear and moan but how can
someone say paul cook threw it away yesterday if you didnt go

but mistakes are easy forgoten about

last saturday night on the morecambe website they was calling for harveys head
and go on tuesday night after the beat hereford and everybody is happy as larry

in our last 14 games we have
won 10
drawn 3
and lost 1
and we was up against teams like barnet. exeter. and morecambe

now bring a mate or to to the I.E.S on monday and give our full support

BELIEVE

Cafu01 26-03-2005 23:20

Re: latest score

How anyone can blame Paul Cook i dont know, if you went to the game you would know it wasnt his fault, but all the Cook haters come out and slag him off.
I personally dont think he is good enough for this level, but i dont go slagging him off at every opportunity when he has a bad game (or has a solid game like he did against Burton), EVERY player needs our support, even the ones you dont particulary like.

The players are getting tired now because of the amount of games we have been playing recently in a short space of time, they need our support not people slagging them off and saying, "why is Cooky coming on" etc, if Coley wants to bring Cooky on and he feels its the right change then he will do, back the manager and support the player that comes on.

I know for a fact that Cooky is one of the most influential people this club as ever had and he is a brilliant coach, dont slag him off when he comes on the pitch give him your support.

We are entering the final stage of the season, 6 games to go, we need 4 more wins. Now lets get behind ALL of the players, they all come under the same title...... they are all STANLEY PLAYERS.

Coley is still confident of getting into the play offs. Get down to the IES on Monday when we will BEAT York.

KEEP THE FAITH

baldy 26-03-2005 23:48

Re: latest score

it really bugs me when people say that cookie is in it for the "appearence bonus"
and "oh we have lost it now" why dont you show your support to the lads in this
crucial part of the season and not go around slagging anyone off.

why dont you moan to cotty in the car home or in your yoga class on a wednesday
night to deidre

i remember when we got beat 0-5 at stevenage and cookie was the first to say sorry
and that first thing monday morning to sort the problems out

can you name me 1 football team any where in the world that wins week-in week-out
because i cant

and in the sports bar a couple of weeks ago talking to jimmy and we asked which football team he supported and we was expectng to say something like liverpool or everton
and he sed "cut me in half and you will see accrington stanley right through me"

remember moan at deidre at yoga on wednesday and not to the players

BELIEVE

Cafu01 27-03-2005 00:27

Re: latest score

Cooky no longer has an appearence fee anymore, he told the club to take it off his contract so they no longer have to pay him every time he plays. He is not in it for the money , he is in it to get Stanley back where we belong - the football league

O.k Baldy And Cafu01 It Would Be Very Helpfull If You Would Say Who You Think You Are Having A Go At, I Have Been To 2 Games At The Ies This Season And Every Game South Of Tamworth, If I Lived Within 30 Miles Of Stanleys Ground I Would Be At All Home Games And Most Away Games By Coach, Unfortunatley I Live Almost 300 Miles From Accrington And Im One Of The Fortunate Ones Im In The Uk, Now We Do Have Some Loyal Supporters Over Seas, We Can Only Get Information From People On This Website The Official Website Or As I Based My Posting On Friday Night From Adam Cottier On Radio Lancs, So If It Is Me That You Are Having A Pop At Please Say So, If In Future I Can Only Air My Feelings When I Go To A Game Please Say So Now And I Will Only Post Here When Ive Appeared In The Crowd

Re: latest score

Cafu01 I Have Stated That I Am Behind The Club The Team And The Supporters, The Difference Is I Pay To Have My Opinions As A Supporter, The Paul Cooks And Any Outher Playing Staff And The Manager Get Paid To Do A Job, They Are Profesionals In An Entertainment Industry, We The Paying Public Build Heros Up And We The Paying Public Will Bring Them Back Down, Its The Way Of The World, Its The Way New Heros Are Made So Paul Cook May Have Been A Good Player In Your Eyes On Friday Nite But Adam Cottier Saw Somthing Different And Said So On Radio To A World Wide Audience Via The Internet,so If Adam Got It Wrong And Was Watching A Different Game To You That Is How We Get A Difference Of Oppinion It Does Not Mean That We Dont Support The Team Any Less Or That We Dont Want Them To Achieve Their Goal The Football League, If A Profesional Takes Offence At What The People Who Pay There Wages Has To Say Then They Are In The Wrong Job And Will Not Be Fit To Play In A Levle Of Football We Are At Now Or In The Future
