Procedure

* The player taking the penalty kicks the ball forward.
* He does not play the ball a second time until it has touched another player.
* The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves forward.

Deffinitely 100% allowed. You would have thought more teams would try it

The penalty kick is retaken because the ball must be kicked forward.

Yes, provided the correct penalty kick procedures have been followed.

This is the answer from FIFA but would you find a Ref with the balls to allow it in todays game with the likes of Ferguson or Mourinho breathing down your neck?

So it is officially legal BUT.............In reality it would have been disallowed because the referee would have s**t his pants and suddenly spotted someone encroaching in the penalty area :D
